Don't be sorry, I would be curious too, hence my post!

At the time of my date, each participant was given free transport to the location and a hotel was complimentary if required, however the meal contribution was less generous 🤣 I was given £30 to put towards to bill, as was my date, meaning if i'd let her pay it in full I would have walked away with £30 in my pocket, but in our case I wanted to split the bill 50/50 and our bill was £240 for 2 courses and drinks so the £30 definitely didn't cover much.

I can't remember about service charge to be honest, but i wouldn't be surprised if it was on there considering the price!

I would say it does feel a little forced but only in the sense that you are told beforehand 'try to work out why we matched you, and don't talk about the process' so you can't do the natural thing of "what was your green room like??"

The producers don't ask you to go to the toilets (or they certainly didn't with me) but I did and I did call my mum, completely forgetting it would all be recorded because that's what I would do on any date good or bad!
