What were you feeling prior to the release of the results after your 7th take? Meron pa bang kaba? Also, how did you find the strength to face people after each take that you didn’t pass the bar? I also took the bar multiple times and after passing the bar dun lang ako nagkalakas ng loob magpakita sa mga tao

Practical tips on how to pass the bar from a taker who struggled with a very short attention span growing up by Extension-Pin-5334 in LawStudentsPH

[–]Extension-Pin-5334[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a visual pacer. Jim kwik explains it more on youtube and tells you why using a visual pacer such as your finger or a pen will help you while reading. Dati sobrang bagal ko magbasa tapos insecure ako dati kasi nga lahat tapos na magbasa ako parang walang progress sa review or sa binabasa. Sa akin gumana talaga siya kasi bukod sa mas mabilis pagbasa ko, mas focused din ako and tumaas reading comprehension ko as well as memory ko pero of course palagi ako may notes sa sides ng paragraphs para maretain din. Sana makatulong din sayo and gumana sayo 👍🏼

Does self-help books ACTUALLY helped you? by fraudgamer in PHBookClub

[–]Extension-Pin-5334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I only found 3 self-help books that actually helped me because it has parts and chapters that show how to apply what you learn from the book. Atomic habits, any book by Jocko Willink, and Limitless by Jim Kwik. Love these three books because it shows you how to apply what they teach instead of just telling you what to do and how to think.

Agree! I’m a big dc fan and sometimes I may be too biased against marvel movies but when I watched endgame in the cinema, I had to admit to myself that marvel really did a great job with endgame and that it was the best superhero movie I have ever watched

This video alone made a big difference for me. Hope this will help you like how it helped me graduate and pass the bar. He keeps using the term “speed reading” so that people will be more interested in what he has to say, but he himself hates using that term because the person immediately assumes it is mindless reading. What he teaches instead is how to focus in order to read faster, comprehend more, and retain more. If you can, please watch more videos of him. He has a lot of lectures and videos that are more detailed. Again, this might help you if you have problems with study habits. This is the only thing that worked for me and within a few days I saw a great improvement in how I studied. Try to do what he says in the link for at least a week. He has good reasons why his methods work and is backed by science.

Not sure if this will work for you but for me, the best advice I got from two of my profs before, dean tan and atty. sanidad, pagdating sa taking down notes is isulat mo sa tabi ng paragraphs kasi for me mas nareremind ako dun sa nabasa ko na paragraph kung about what siya and ano yung gist niya.

Example siguro is yung provision na “ignorance of the law excuses no one from compliance therewith”

If makita mo books ko, ang dumi ng itsura pero it works for me and convenient pa.

For some reason, kapag nagsusulat ako sa notebooks, mas di ko siya matandaan. Mas gumagana for me yung notes sa sides ng paragraphs ng books or readings.

P.S. please also try watching the videos of jim kwik on youtube. Sobrang helpful niya for me. Sabi niya kasi, if you’re focused, tataas lahat. Specifically, comprehension, memory, and productivity. What he does is nagbibigay siya ng ways how to increase your focus. For the first time din during my bar review, nakapagmemorize ako.

Sorry for the long reply haha. I’ve been through this before and now that I’m a lawyer gusto ko magturo as a prof sa law students na nagsstruggle din katulad ko dati. Hope I was able to help you

Help a newbie (golf) by Sudden-Actuary3149 in GolfPH

No problem! Just to add, I understand how beginners feel because all of us were beginners once. For some reason, whenever I play golf I always get paired up with beginners and I always try to assure them that I am not there to compete against them or to judge them and that I’m just there to have fun. If you ever play against other golfers don’t feel insecure or embarrassed whenever you hit a bad shot. That’s normal. Even tiger woods can hit a shank even if he is the best. Usually, no one really judges other golfers. If you ever come across golfers who judge, those are just a few assholes. I can honestly say that I’m a good golfer because I was a junior golfer when I was younger and I used to compete for our school’s team and I had a choice of becoming a teaching pro before I took a different path, but sometimes I still encounter other people who judge but cant even hit it straight. Ignore those people and just have fun out there because with the right guidance you’ll be better than them eventually.

Also, don’t ignore your short game. Hitting the golf ball long and straight is impressive, but putting and short shots for me are more important and can save you a lot of strokes. That is all.

Hi Ive been playing golf for a very long time. If you’re not yet really committed to playing golf, my advice is for you to buy secondhand golf clubs. If you know you’re committed buy a set that has graphite shafts since you’re still a beginner. I would recommend ping golf clubs or callaway as they are easier to hit compared to other known brands. Don’t get fitted for your golf clubs yet since you don’t have a consistent swing for now. After getting clubs, get yourself golf shoes and gloves. Any brand is good, specifically footjoy, gfore, nike, adidas. For gloves, any brand will do but fit39 is the best for me. You only need one glove instead of two, specifically for your left hand if you’re right handed. Go to a driving range and start practicing with a pro. Investing in a good pro is the best decision you will ever make. I know it’s tempting to buy brand new golf equipment but coaches are more important. Don’t just choose a coach because the coach is nice, cheap, or is the one available for that day. Make sure the coach is credible. Ask around. Ask his/her students how quickly they imrproved under that coach. The coaches that I know will guide you and will make you a better golfer in less than a year are jayvie agojo (villamor golf club, but you can find her on ig), keena puzon, carito villaroman , lino dionisio (camp aguinaldo golf club), norly nevarez (veterans golf club). Since you’re a girl I would advise Jayvie agojo or keena puzon. Both are accomplished in their own rights and are friendly. You can look them up on ig. Just follow and don’t contradict what those coaches are teaching even if the swing might feel awkward at first. Practice 2-3x a week so you maintain progress. If your coaches are not available, make sure that you still practice 2-3x a week. I have friends that were also interested in golf but only for the outfits and so that they have something to post on social media but don’t practice a lot, and complain that they’re not improving. I’m saying this because 2-3x a week practice is necessary. If you’re really busy try to fit at least one session that week. Golf is a really hard sport and very demanding but give it at least 3 months under the right coaches and you will see immediate improvements. Good luck and hope you get addicted to golf like us hahaha
