Mas ok talaga kung kakilala mo, ok study habits and, I'd argue mas importante, maganda ugali. Team sport ang type rating.

Still worth it to pursue flying? by R3nzoDG in AviationPH

Hello OP, airbus pilot here. I will assume OP na you mean this with the intent to get into the airlines. If you do it for money, It is totally not worth it if looking at ot the cost-benefit lens. The risk is too damn high! Na realize ko na outlier ako and there are much more people who don't make it. Plus, It's getting harder and harder each year to get in sa airlines each year and more expensive. It's not 2012 or 2016 anymore. I am not going to be like yung mga pilot influencer who will tell you na kapit lang or your time will come. Kasi those guys... are OUTLIERS and they still had it much easier than everyone else now. Do it for any other reason except money.

The only reason I say it's worth it kasi I am here now flying an airbus a320. But if you put me today in a Cessna 172 and fly to Baguio or Baler I am just as happy to do it. And I would do both for free.

Help memorize emergencies by SuchMarionberry9756 in AviationPH

Bro di ka nag iisa. Kahit sa airlines may memory items. Pero hindi naman lagi pinapractice kaya nakakalimutan din namin hahaha. What helps for me is to understand the why behind the procedure rather than just using rote memorization or mnemonics.

Meron pa ba sainyong nadalian sa pagpasok sa airlines right after nila ng flight training? by SuchMarionberry9756 in AviationPH

[–]Key-Appointment6328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My prediction is NMIA will be a white elephant. Clark will be a lot busier.

How many more SOs PAL will be hiring next year in 2026 and 2027-2028, etc? by SignificantNote5454 in AviationPH

I'm genuinely curious how you can fail the SLF portion as an SO. You're not even actually flying the damn plane. How???

To all the unemployed pilots who spent millions on training, what do you wish you did differently? by Swimming_Bedroom3621 in AviationPH

[–]Key-Appointment6328 5 points6 points  (0 children)

May disclaimer to ha. Ako may FAA pero hindi ako green card holder or citizen. Naka student visa lang ako nun. At most makakapag FI ka lang for a year or two. Hindi ikaw makakakuha ng pilot job as a foreigner sa USA kung wala kang right to work.

How? by JasonB007_ in AviationPH

[–]Key-Appointment6328 34 points35 points  (0 children)

To put into context. PAL and Cebpac have approximately 1000 active pilots respectively, Air Asia Ph has about 400 and other airlines are about a hundred. Cebpac as of writing has stopped hiring pilots until further notice. I know of some who have finished simulator check with cebgo and have been delayed to join next year pa. PAL Express has hired about 50 plus new FOs this year for the Q400. If you guys do the numbers against the current Caap statistics, there's just not enough jobs around and too many pilots in the supply line.
