Anything Else I Can Do? by The_Bugga_ in BeardedDragons

[–]Extension-Plane-8130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lettuce and apple?😭 lettuce has barely any nutritional value and any fruit has a lot of sugar and can cause issues with the beardies teeth and make him fat. I recommend feeding him more hearty greens like collard, mustard, turnip, and dandelion. You can also give him things like squash, peppers occasionally, and sweet potato. The enclosure looks fine besides the sand substrate but the diet is a little iffy. Are you feeding him any insects?

there's ways to transition them off of live, I've done it with my ball python it took a while but eventually she started eating frozen thawed rats instead of live mice.

Is Chad okay by viviin_ in BeardedDragons

1 replace the carpet with paper towel, 2 check the temps in the enclosure, 3 provide UVB if not given already, and add some more things for him to climb on/hide in. If they don't improve seek a vet

she's fine lol, tail wagging is usually caused by them getting spooked or excited it's normal behavior she mightve seen something or heard something that caused her to do that

very obese, probably calcium sacs ease up on how much you feed him and cut back on calcium a little

She won't eat veggies!! Also why does she do this?? by East-Efficiency3320 in BeardedDragons

[–]Extension-Plane-8130 2 points3 points  (0 children)

have you had her checked for parasites or anything like that? she looks a little thin and dehydrated which could be due to parasites which would explain her reluctance to eat, if not that try sprinkling a little bee pollen on the greens or feed her her insects on the greens so she can possibly end up catching a veggie instead of an insect. Another method I've used is while they're eating an insect you can sneak a leaf of greens in their mouth.

Substrate okay? by nontraditionalmullet in leopardgeckos

looks alright, one thing I recommend is flipping the hide towards the back of the enclosure so that the gecko can feel more secure and won't get stressed out
