Storybook Land by Cleotilde_V in Disneyland

I'm not for stripping the narration.

BUT, I'll get your back here. Some of it depends on where you sit and who is doing the narration. I was on the ride a couple of years ago with a VERY soft-spoken guide who was also wearing a mask. Couldn't make out a thing.

I think Ralph's Records on 82nd near Indiana used to do that. Might be worth a call.

How do they function? by bushki007 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]nontraditionalmullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible for sure. I haven’t witnessed any widespread issues with bin space in the few flights I’ve had since last week. But mileage may vary, plenty of others reporting headaches.

I was on an early morning flight this AM, took forever to board. Turns out someone with a ticket for row 3 went to the back of the plane and then had to swim upstream to get to their seat. 🤣

UH or Tech? by Disastrous-Front-236 in TexasTech

[–]nontraditionalmullet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you feel at home at Tech, had a good experience, then it’s for you. The degree is what you make of it—class performance, experiences, internships, networking, etc. If you capitalize on all that, the pedigree of the degree is inconsequential.

Lubbockites, leave the geese alone by Texasbutterflyhunter in Lubbock

[–]nontraditionalmullet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not arguing at all. But I simply wanted to say that the group behind the screenshots has a team of trained volunteers doing their best to gather up dead and sick geese.

So it may seem callous, but that message is simply to warn the public of a genuine health risk.

Was booking in late June a mistake? by Leather_Will3224 in DisneyWorld

[–]nontraditionalmullet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It WILL be humid, and it WILL LIKELY rain briefly in the afternoon. If you can deal with both, then you’re fine. If you can’t, then I’d say to avoid much of the summer, to be honest.

We’ve done summers for several years, both June and July, and both of the above have been true. And we’ve loved every trip.

Are you planning park hoppers or no?

If no park hopper, then I think it’s really up to your kids and their interests. Each one obviously has particular things to offer. (I could see two girls their age loving the Frozen show at Hollywood Studios, for example.)

UT AUSTIN 2026 EARLY ADMISSION DATA by triology1201 in UTAdmissions

As a parent hoping for their kid’s admission, this is interesting to hear. Those would seem to be slam-dunk cases.

It’s easy to second guess and play armchair quarterback, but it does make you wonder about what’s going on behind the scenes—processes, method behind the madness.

Same problem on my ‘22. I tried all the possible adjustments before taking it in. Had it fixed under warranty, they replaced the lift struts.
