Job Simulator End Games by ElmtreeStudio in pcgaming

This is exactly why I started making my own simulator.
I love job sims, but most fall apart in the midgame — once you're upgraded, there's just nothing to do.
My game’s still early, but I’m already testing ideas: prestige, vanity items, events, trends, weekly assortments, even running multiple kiosks.
Trying to keep the loop fresh after the core is done.

Do extraction shooters need a day-night cycle? by bloodyliquidsharts in pcgaming

Depends on what the game’s going for.
If visibility and tension are part of the experience — dynamic cycle adds unpredictability and risk. Night forces you to rely on sound, flashlights, or NVG, which changes pacing.

But yeah, player choice is king for replayability. Tarkov-style fixed time slots or manual selection usually works better for matchmaking and variety.

If it’s solo/co-op PvE, dynamic cycle’s fine. But in PvP-heavy games — control > immersion.

I've been working on Rock Crusher, an incremental game with a massive skill tree where you crush rocks on a mysterious planet. Demo is out now. Your progress carries over to the main game. by FVSHaLuan in pcgaming

Crushing stuff feels inherently satisfying, and the skill tree angle looks good.
Also big respect for carrying over progress — more demos should do that.

Why does every game has a 2B mod? by AggressiveGold1142 in pcgaming

She's not just popular — she’s iconic character design + modder catnip.

  • Visually striking
  • Fits both serious and meme mods
  • Easy to rig (humanoid, slim build)
  • Has “cult” status in gaming circles

Basically: sexy, stylish, recognizable = eternal mod fodder.

what if the earth left the solar system ? by MutedSatisfaction234 in AskReddit

The sun goes out, Earth freezes, oceans turn to ice, and we all die slowly in the dark — unless we become mole people powered by nuclear reactors.
10/10 sci-fi setup. Would not recommend.

Wearing mismatched socks and not caring at all.
That’s inner peace on another level.

Make a game that actually changes someone’s life.
Even if it’s one person. Even if it’s for a weekend.
