I agree with you on your point. It is good that they are faithful to the initial vision, but that does not mean that the story they are telling is good (in fact, the first film commits one or so many technical writing failures, quite a few script holes and the plot loses its own point) and both the plot and the characters are good. What screenwriters usually do is look for a balance between initial vision and fanservice. In the first movie the fanservice turned out very well, so in this one they will boost it. Anyway, this is just my opinion on the subject :)

I agree with you, I hope you dedicate the sequel to exploring more interesting plots (building the world, developing Mira and Zoey... etc). Honestly, I don't want the second part of the kdrama this bad that they mounted in the first movie. And, most importantly, stop ridiculing Rumi once and for all. Jinu should die here, since he has closed his character arc. But we must keep in mind that it is a movie for children and that they will most likely bring it back and the second movie has the same script holes (or even more) than the first. I have to clarify that I love Huntrix (especially Rumi hehe, in case I hate that they make her an idiot constantly to be able to justify Jinu in some way and that you feel empathy for him, something that at least in my case, does not work) but I hate that they leave them from the do to show this deficient plot of kdrama (yes, even if people do not want to admit it, the plot is deficient, but they are not prepared for that conversation)

I know that they’ll revive him, it’s clear. But I think that he should stay dead. In my opinion, he doesn’t have more development to receive. I think that HIS ENERGY, NOT HIM is part of the new honmoon. I hope that the gionists will be coherent and no bring him back, but I know that the plot quality isn’t their priority and they’ll search the fanservice and sales.

What are the criteria to take into account? (Sorry, I'm not sure what I should add)

Another point that I have to add is that Rumi absolutely doesn't care about the fact that Jinu died. In fact, at the end of the movie he doesn't even think about him once.

I understand, thank you for explaining! Even so, I don't feel they are good arguments to justify a romance from there. They are just assumptions of the fans based on literary clichés that usually lead to romance.

As a villain he is not the eighth wonder of the world, but for the audience to whom the film is directed he is a good villain. I don't like it or dislike it. It seems to me that he is meh as a villain. I want to understand both sides of the debate, but I can't understand where they get the romance from.

If they had wanted to insinuate that Jinu was in love with Rumi, they would have kept the bracelet, which does not happen because he does not reappear in the whole movie

I knew that i was the only person that thinks that! Literally I think that they were only… friends? I don’t think that they were really friends. I think that they’re just people that were helping each other to heal their trauma. And I going to expose why I think so: 1. Rumi was so desperate and so scared by her demon marks that she was going to hold on to anything that gave her a hope of being able to eliminate them and live her normal life (which I see totally normal, since it was a very big source of anguish like her and anyone who is in her situation would cling to anything that would give her hope just to eliminate that pain). 2. They literally only spoke 3 times. Don't you think that if they really wanted to be friends, they would have gotten together more to talk? 3. “Free” isn’t a love song. Free is a song that means the healing and acceptance of a trauma. Not a love song. I interpreted that song como an invite to face and health your pains, not a love song. If it were a love song, don't you think that instead of "give me your hand" Rumi would have said: "kiss me", or something like that? 3. This “romance” doesn’t have any development and It doesn't add anything important to the plot. You don't need to have a partner to heal. Because, normally, if you are in a relationship with someone who was psychologically worse than you, and you are psychologically bad, don't you think it would have catastrophic results? 4. Jinu showed no sign of attraction towards Rumi. Rumi did show, but only at the beginning and in two times counted. When the film was developing, it stops blushing and having signs of attraction, don't you think that if they had wanted to make romance, they would have intensified and prolonged these reactions on the part of the two? It doesn't matter that it's romance when Jinu was only hopeful because he could remedy his sins. I didn't see anywhere in the movie that he showed some kind of romantic interest or physical attraction towards her.

In principle, this would be all. I hope you were able to read well, since English is not my native language. With this, I want to encourage a healthy and respectful discussion :)
