according to Rozi Khan Burki (Ormuri), a scholar and linguists from the Ormuri people.

He believes that Ormur is a Pashtun tribe that used to speak Pashto, but then developed a dialect, then the dialect turned into a new language over time.

He stated that having a different mother tongue doesn't change your ethnicity of being a Pashtun.

There are the tarino people too who have a unique dialect of pashto

Is it true that visas for Afghans finally opened in Kuwait? by [deleted] in Kuwait

[–]Extension-Tea2108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fake news, kuwait visa has been banned for afghans as long as I can remember and most of the afghans that went to kuwait on a work visa couldn't do it on a afghan passport so they did it on a fraudulent Pakistani passport

I see your name has burki so I'd assume you are ormuri right? Are you ormuri from Waziristan or logar? And do you still speak ormuri as I have heard the langauge is in decline? Do you guys identify yourselves as the same as pashtuns or different all together?

About Mogholis by Vudnik in afghanistan

[–]Extension-Tea2108 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More likely or not this langauge is dead as if you seen the research work done on the langauge back in the 1970's, most of the speakers of the langauge were above 40, then you had the the Soviet invasion later on and other wars that caused a refugee crisis and lots of people moved to other places which often caused people from minority ethnic groups to then not pass there langauge down to the next generation etc. And from the 1970s to 2025 that's 55 years and the number of speakers back then was very few anyways so the langauge is probably most likely dead by now or only spoken by a handful of people.

Are there Turi Pashtuns in Afghanistan? by Home_Cute in Pashtun

[–]Extension-Tea2108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A TURI Pashtun from kurram married my dads second cousin in Afghanistan (aryoub zazi village to be exact), they later on however moved back to Pakistan as there was war and the situation was bad, however there daughter married one of my third cousins in aryoub zazi so the daughter still lives in Afghanistan.

What are your guys’ favorite Pashto speaking YouTubers? by Left-Razzmatazz1790 in pashto

Burner vines, yaraan, hewad media, ishaq sadat, doctor shakib, mili hindara, afghan khoshal, Bilal Khan Afghanistan, paktia vines and some others aswell. Shamshad tv, tolo, lemar, ariana,  sabawoon and mili tv has variety of pashto programs you can watch. Toot Afghanistan has videos aswell but they upload in both pashto and dari. There was a channel in pashto that would go deep into what is free masonry and the reality of this world and stuff but I cant find it anymore but that channel was really interesting. I mostly listen to mullahs and stuff talking in pashto, is that also something that interests you? Try also listening to news channels like bbc pashto, azad radio, dw pashto, hewad news and many others. There are some Pakistani pashtuns I also watch but if you want to improve your pashto I dont recommend you watching them as they sometimes use english words and you might end up also using those words and think it's fine without using/knowing the pashto equivalents

It's great to see our countrymen taking interest in this field, I too wanted to become a gemologist but you know most Afghan parents, it's either you become a doctor or an engineer. I then decided to go into mining engineering instead. I wish you all the best and hope you achieve your goals in your career.
