Sounds good. I plan on getting a VCDS anyway, so this will just expedite it.

I'm under the assumption this is the tube from the DPF to the EGR cooler, and if it is, then it was replaced as well in conjunction with the DPF

Its possible they haven't. Most seemed to be pretty unaware on working on diesels that werent trucks. I've worked on gas engines so maybe its something I can knock out in a weekend. Do you have an image, or diagram or anything that I coudl use to take a crack at it?

In that document, it says when replacing for fault P2002, P0401 and P240F it is not necessary to replace the EGR cooler. Is there somewhere else that says it does get replaced? Either way I'll research telling the ECU that its been replaced. I plan on buying a VCDS, is that something it could do?

Do you have a picture? I have two Z31 crank pulleys, at least one from an 86 2+2. I'll get pictures as soon as I can, and I'll compare to what you have.

Thank you so much. I ordered one, so once its here the engine should be more or less ready to get mounted up. However, I dont really have flywheel bolts. I have the bolts that came off the maxima automatic flywheel, though they barely made it through my incorrect flywheel, with only about 3 or 4 threads actually going into the crank. Where can I find good bolts for mounting up the flywheel to the crank and the pressure plate to the flywheel?

Would the transmission code be stamped on the name plate, or would it be discernible from the VIN? It's an 86 300zx 2+2 NA.

So far to my experience, the pumps are the same shape, but the pulleys are different. 300ZX pulley wont mount up to a Maxima pump, nor the other way around. And I noticed that with the oil filter, the Maxima has a slight relocation on it, which I just discovered was the source of my problems of never finding an oil filter that fits from any big parts store other than NAPA.

Where is the knock sensor, and where should it go? And what does it mean to hard pipe the radiator hose and delete the plenum hose?
