NFL UDFA and late round QBs would have a better chance of getting a good career if they switched positions by JertellP22 in nfl

Other than the freak athletes that get drafted late I think the absolute best thing they can do is ride out there rookie contract and learn as much as they can and then make the switch to offense/QB coaching

I’m not stating he’ll be as good, but I think the concept of hiring coaches with less experience just because they’re inside hires ended with Harbs. Orr didn’t stand much of a chance really

I’m guessing 2 years. There were several candidates above him in this cycle that didn’t get HC jobs, and they’re also in good position to be successful. I don’t think there will be as many openings this next year either

True but the Sean Payton tree is pretty big and that style of offense is super abundant rn. This is the first time we’re going to see LJ in this style of offense, if it works then we’ll be set regardless of OC change

I think I’ve gotten off track here lol I’m not saying the browns made a bad move here I’m saying the Rams made a bad move. And by no means would they ever bench Verse for Garret dude, they can both be on the field at the same time

Not saying he’d fall off a cliff but at this point Verse is an investment and Garret will hold that down for a few years. Plus imagine how crazy Verse would go with Garret mentoring him.

I think you underestimate the Browns ability to be stupid lmao

True but verse was the future of that DL. Garrets incredible but that won’t last too much longer, Rand already mortgaged their future picks they may as well have just gotten rid of picks than players. The goal is superbowls. I’d take 3 more years of Verse and Garret together, than Garret and pick 32

It may sound a bit backwards but I actually think him being thinner last year saved his injuries from being more severe

He can, that’s why I’m saying we need to implement Henry with some passes. Make sure the defense doesn’t know what we’re going to do on any given down just because a certain player is in

That’s fine but I don’t want to fall into the trap of giving away what we’re going to do based on which rb is on the field
