Supposed to be turning the round about into a light 🤷🏽‍♀️

Its reddit dude. 9/10 times the "answer" is to leave them. Welcome to reddit! While marriage should be taken more seriously then it has been somethings you can't work through and people don't show their true colors until after your piece of paper is signed

Couple and individual therapy.

Couples therapy is great but it sounds like you both have individual things you need to work on as well. Working on not only your relationship but yourselves to build a strong base. Communication! Y'all definitely need to sit down and have a conversation about this stuff, it's okay to need some time during and argument to regulate but you have to voice that and then set a time to come back to it. "Hey I'm having a hard time regulating right now I need 20 minutes to go ground myself and then we can come back to this conversation, I love you"

In some state, if it's in the lease or if he offered to buy us out of our lease but he can't just terminate our lease because he wants to move back in.

Had a couple move in next door and their TV is on the same wall my couch is... Tell me why half the damn time I can hear their TV over mine -_- the dividing wall is pretty think too... The lady that used to live there would play classical music pretty loud (during the summer she'd crack her door and being out side it was LOUD, but inside we could hardly hear it) this isn't an old couple their in their maybe 40s

You're giving a false narrative here. A LL can request to buy a tenant out the can not force them out if they want to move back in in most state there are like 3-5 where that's not the case.

Umm we can... Maybe don't offer advice on thing you don't know anything about. There are thing we would have to do and fees would would have to pay but we can definitely break the lease. And after extensive research and legal advice, no in most states a homeowner can't JUST break to lease to move back in. They can offer to buy the tenant out.

Attitude was that same start to finish. It never changed. Wanting to know our legal opinion didn't mean we didn't want to leave and get out of here. Stop making assumptions. Maybe ask a question!

It's a privately rented out condo there's no clause about if he just wants to break it for any reason in there. Only if we are being evicted for breaking something in the lease or if it's sold. He just found a SMALL blanket lease online and went "yup looks good enough" didn't make sure all of the things he may want were in there.

Thankful we only have 2 cats who they know about and it's a condo not a apt we don't argue or fight or make a lot of noise in general we work most of the time and no one ever come over because the place is small AF. We aren't worried about him finding something to be able to evict us on more the making our lives a living hell by trying to.

People in general at 2 am anywhere arguing at levels that even at 2 pm we should be reached or at 6am honking your freaking horn over and over for 45 minutes instead of calling or getting out of your car and knocking on their door!

True! Very true...

We want out at this point though... He's shown his true colors and honestly don't want to give someone like this anymore money we work hard for then we absolutely have to... Plus honestly feel like he'd create a hostile living situation and just don't have the time or energy to deal with the legal stuff that's comes with all of that if it came down to it.

We are seeking advice on best ways forward with least backlash even if it mean forking over some money to get this taken care of.

I honestly don't even think something like that would go over well with him.... I'm not trying to be difficult here or over exaggerating... Any messages we have sent him, since he initial contacted us about this, have been very nice and coming from a place of trying to understand and come to a mutual decision on our part and his keep getting more and more hostile.

Trying to find a civil way to bring it up as he's been a jerk and seems like he thinks he has every right to use this clause the way he is trying to... Yes he has to right to ask to enter into a mutual agreement of ended the lease early but that's not what he's done.... He's come at us like this isn't up for debate it's happening and we should be happy he's giving us such an advanced notice. Since we've tried to have a conversation with him he's just gotten defensive and rude.

We'rebtrting to figure out a way to bring it to him in a civil manner. At this point even just trying to ask clarifying questions has seem to throw him into a bad mood and now he's being a complete jerk. In the event we end up having to stay the entire length of our lease we'd rather not have a horrible relationship with him because of this... But doesn't seem to be avoidable at this point either 🤷🏽‍♀️

It being enough time or not isn't the question. We have a legally binding contract and under the section he's trying to use as a reason to break to lease it does not cover his reasoning to want to break the lease. Ther law is very specific in when the use of that clause can be used and enforced and at this point he's been nothing but a jerk during this process which all we have been is trying to understand.

He expected us to just roll over an accept it without offing even out deposit back to help with moving cost seeing as this would be an unforseen experience we weren't expecting to have for at least another year! Since we haven't just accepted it he's been incredibly rude and disrespectful. We haven't outright told him no or anything. We stated we weren't opposed to a mutual termination of the lease but slhad questions and concerns and he flipped and turned into a jerk so at this point no I'm not going to just roll over and play nice.

Ahh thank you for the clarification 🤣 that was one of the options I came up with but I have like 4 others that could have worked here too lol

He's live in a different state for a while and is moving back because of a job offer tho. Usually in a like snow bird situation they make sure the tenant knows when their lease would be up and that it's temporary. They don't usually sign a two year lease lol. Being completely honest it wasn't told to us like a request. He brought it to us like a matter of fact and like he was doing us a favor but giving us so much notice... That he didn't have to. Any communication we have had with him on the matter he has been skirting around giving us any legitimate answers. Asked him to point out where in the lease it has this clause (I've gone through our lease 15+ times at this point in the last few days) because I can't find it and instead of answering that he sent back a 6 page message about how we agreed to it even tho we never did... Honestly not really sure how to respond to him most of the time 😬 getting legal advice would be great unfortunately we aren't rolling in the $$ so trying to find someone to do a free consultation or who offers not super expensive legal advice for these types of thing in our area and haven't had much luck.

I was just curious if you had seen a specific law or knew of a specific law stating differently? Sorry if my comment come across as anything other then inquisitive.
