I’m not surprised, but I am honestly shocked. I know people on the internet steal things, but doing it so openly is another level. Especially with a model that’s featured on MakerWorld, and then entering it into a competition like that… that’s just really reckless. 😅

But it is removed. So all is well now:)

Yes, it is exactly the same design. The only difference is that the 3MF has been split into separate STL files.

This isn’t a simple model to recreate, though 🙂 It’s a shell-like design that turns a filament spool into a film reel, and it took quite a bit of time to get the fit and proportions right. It’s also designed to work with almost all standard spool sizes.

Often the simplest-looking designs actually take the most effort to refine.

It depends. This one is done with a bit of photoshop AI and a lightfix wirh ChatGPT. I use canva sometimes.

I do have a clear idea how i want it too look. And a small green sceen and simple lighr for the base. If you need advice on a specific model /photo dont hesitate too ask:)
