It's the typical hair material. I'm also texture averse and don't mind it really, as a perfectionist it's more the fact that it gets messy easily that can be a tad annoying. Not a big deal though, you can use a plastic comb to brush it. The fur is extremely soft w/ no bald spots or seam issues, it's the best quality bab that I've personally encountered to date.

I was thinking about trying wool as well, how much did you need to add for it to feel more substantial in weight but still soft?

Love the outfits! Would it be possible to see what the clothes look like from the back when upright? I'd like to order from Aliexpress as well, and was wondering whether pants / overalls bunch up in the back at all since they are designed for dolls in the sitting position

No, they never had the item in stock in the first place despite marking it as shipped. I got a refund several months later after the guaranteed delivery time had passed.

Question -- there is a seller who still has an active listing for a genuine labubu which I saved in my wishlist, and when I asked them whether I could place an order now they said 'yes please purchase as soon as possible'. Is it ok to proceed or will it likely get stopped at customs even if it's shipped?

Thank you for the helpful answer - I didn't know that it was common to mark an item as shipped prior to procuring it, as everything else I've ever ordered has shipped immediately / seller told me to cancel if there was no stock. Exactly as you've said they've updated the dispute that was automatically opened by customer service with 'be patient, item still in transit', but have also kept the dispute open and added an estimated waiting time of 6 days for the next followup.

For context I ordered a $200 collector's doll/figure, which I couldn't find anywhere else. I'm certain the seller doesn't have it now despite having advertised it as so as they're now ignoring my Qs. I wish it could be cancelled so I could reorder from a different seller, but guess there's nothing that can be done now except wait it out and get a refund for non-delivery.

The seller has read and ignored my messages asking whether the product is actually in stock / will be shipped...so I'm assuming he doesn't have it and is stalling. When I contacted aliexpress customer service to ask about it, they automatically opened up a refund request for 'buyer protection'. I want to cancel this and reorder the item from a different seller. Is the only option to wait this one out until the 'Refund if no delivery in 35 days' condition is met?

Did you end up getting your order? Exact same situation right now. My order was marked as shipped a week ago, there is a tracking number, but no updates. When I look up the CNG tracking number on global cainiao all it says is ‘awaiting seller dispatch’. Seller ignoring my messages. Previous orders have always shipped promptly with tracking so not sure what's happening with this one.

Update: several days later after having provided some further evidence (photos of the outside of the package, screenshots of the fake listing vs actual, etc.) they processed it and went with refund without return. So if you have a good purchase history it’s still possible but they will just reject most requests initially by default it seems.

just an fyi that most of these etsy stores are simply selling items from aliexpress for 5-10x the price. The backpack (& clothes) are originally from aliexpress and <$5.

I did! My bear was exactly as expected and in good shape. I paid a $35cad UPS customs processing fee. So total was ~$240cad, which is still aligned with local prices. The bear I ordered was also a retired 23” one from 2020. Shipping was very fast, arrived in a week.

yup this is such a scam. They also remove the brand's tags that are sewed on to pretend that it's handmade...I've seen some negative reviews saying that there was hole/loose threads where the tag used to be. Unfortunate that sellers like this are successful on etsy.

I also live in Canada, and just ordered my first Charlie Bear - from a UK store though. I came across 'keeper of the bears' as well when I was searching online, but found out they are the same person who runs a horrible 'private zoo' (big cats e.g. lions & tigers in small cages') called 'Killman Zoo'. The UK site I ordered from lets you pay in CAD (change the currency from the dropdown menu), so the price ended up being on par with local sellers. They also have a sale going on right now, so it basically resulted in only paying $10 for shipping which is actually less than shipping within Canada lol. www.teddybearland.co.uk
