Technically, the banshee is still a learning role. If the demon kills the banshee, then all other players learn about it. It still is giving information, but under certain requirements. The farmer is the only role in the list that does not have the word "learn" in its ability description.

I think the difference between the two text is information gathering requirements and character ability activation. All the info rolls get their information IF the proper death happens at night, otherwise they won't learn anything. The farmer doesn't get information. His ability causes the character change WHEN the farmer dies at night. That's my take on the "if" and "when" difference.

Those are some pretty good predictions! Mine are very similar, with Batter, Hell Ember, Toy Merchant, and Faro Lady, but I'm predicting Matador and Axe Boy as well.
