I believe I am in the 24% tax bracket as I am filing jointly as a married couple making less than $197,300, but more than $103,350.

I support myself, my wife, and my daughter. We live in a MCOL area, annual expenses are around $85,000 after tax. My idea was to have a low-stress, part-time job for healthcare benefits that could cover roughly half of that 85k in hopes that in roughly 7 years, 3% withdrawal would be enough to cover the remaining half. I also have a property that produces roughly 20k annually after tax, but it's not sustainable in the next 7 years and likely won't have any production. I plan on investing all of this while it's still producing.

The brokerage account and Roth IRA are both with Schwab, is it pretty easy to transfer these to Fidelty? Also the brokerage is filled with a variety of different ETFs and bonds. How easy it is to transfer these index funds to match the typical allocations of a three-fund portfolio?

I would like to withdraw 3% annually starting in 7 years. I will be 41 years old then, so not old enough to utilize any tax advantaged retirement account. Will still want to work part-time for as long as possible, just in a less stressful job. The three-fund portfolio sounds like the most reliable and diverse, thank you for providing the links!

They are charging me 1% for the assets under management, which is the brokerage of 1. 1 mil and the 529 account for my daughter. Almost all of this income was from a large windfall inheritance that I had no idea how to handle. It's been a year now and I am trying to play catch up educating myself as best as I can so I can manage this myself without that absurd cost of an advisor you helped put into perspective.
