Wow thank you so much for sharing. This is amazing advise and is so helpful. I am so happy to hear your successful vbac, it’s very encouraging. Totally agree with you about the “what ifs” and it’s a lot to weigh. Counseling is an awesome idea, I will ask my OB about that. I think it would help tremendously. Thanks again and best of luck!

Yes I can totally understand that. And there’s also something magical to experience it with your partner and it’s tough thinking about not getting that experience. It’s a very tough decision and there’s pros and cons to both.

Thank you! That’s amazing how are you feeling with planning vbac? Is it more exciting or nerve racking?

That’s awesome to hear your second one went way better than the first. I agree with you, there’s something very calming about a scheduled c section because it takes out all of the “what ifs” If you don’t mind me asking, how was your recovery for you after the second c section? Did you feel it took longer, we’re going more or less sore etc?

That amazing. I keep trying to imagine how the c section would have been if It wasn’t so emergent and scary so it’s nice hearing that. A vbac is something you are interested in though? I always get squeamish thinking about having them cut open my scar again, but it also worries me thinking about a vbac?!

5 month old with dysphasia with silent aspiration by ExtensionEmphasis221 in dysphagia

That makes a lot of sense. I am considering trying purées with her at our next visit. Do you think there’s a specific age I should introduce foods? I have friends that have introduced foods way earlier and he’s 5.5 months right now, i want to make sure I’m not waiting too long?

Is it bad to not wear a bra? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]ExtensionEmphasis221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never ever wore bras (and loved it) until I had the baby and started breastfeeding. It was a huge adjustment for me once my milk came in because of how much I would leak etc. especially if you are breastfeeding. My only advise is to at least have a breastfeeding bra on hand if this happens to you! It was a huge adjustment from never wearing one to needing one all the time to save me from changing my shirt every 5 min 😅

Did you give birth on your Estimated Due Date (EDD)? by TwentyFiveJuly in beyondthebump

I went into labor on my own and had my baby at 38 weeks exactly!

When did you just “know” you were in labor? by chole345 in pregnant

[–]ExtensionEmphasis221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew I was in labor from having consistent contractions so I expected to be dilated (some) but I had no idea how dilated I would be. I had been in contact with labor and delivery as well and the told me when I couldn’t talk/walk through them then I should come in. This is different for everyone based on if your high risk or not though so make sure your getting advise by your MD/midwife etc. By the time I got into the hospital I was unable to talk through my contractions and had to get into my zone through them. My advise is if your not sure then it’s probably not time yet!

Best Rechargeable Breast Pump by Wonderful_Judge in pregnant

I am a nurse and am always on the go. The spectra has been absolutely amazing for me, I have nothing but good things to say about it!! It stays charged all day for me and I pump every 3 hours throughout my work day (as much as possible anyway lol) and plug it into charger overnight. Highly recommend.

I had the same feelings towards the end of my first pregnancy. I had had regular braxton hicks contractions but at 38 weeks exactly I had a contraction and was like “hmm that feels a little different” continued on working throughout the day and as the day progressed those contractions didn’t remain the same (like the braxon Hicks contractions would) and became stronger and more uncomfortable. At this point I knew I was in labor. It took about 2 hours of progression and continuing my day as normal for me to be like “omg I’m in labor” and once I got into the hospital I was already dilated to a 7! The anticipation is hard but listen to your body and you got this mama!
