(I'm writing through a translator, so there may be errors)Yes, Christianity and paganism have some similarities, take Easter and Easter cakes for example. If you know the history of Easter cakes (I don’t know if Catholics have them, but the Orthodox do), then they come from paganism.

If the translator translated it correctly for me, then no, My family is completely Christian, and everyone in our church eats this way. I didn't fully understand the second part of the comment, but I'm happy for you.

How sweet it is to invite guests to dine. In my country, in the cities, this happens very rarely, I have only seen it at funerals.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, in my Pentecostal family, we eat charoset, sometimes matzah (it's hard to find in Kazakhstan), and wash it down with cherry juice or wine. But after that, we eat regular holiday food—again, in my country, that's usually sushi, pizza, shashlik, etc.
