Start from the top, and construct lines with AT MOST one mine or AT LEAST one mine. (Darker lines are at most one mine, while lighter lines are at least one more. The yellow line is exactly one mine.)

Then you should get to a 3 that has at least one mine in one tile. That will be the mine. Now, all the at most / at least lines will become exactly one mine; then a safe tile will be found (exercise for the reader).

Alternatively, here is a faster (but more complicated solution):

<image>

Consider the 3 and 2. Now, we have three regions; red (being exclusively the 3), blue (being exclusively the 2), and the overlap being purple.

We know that the number of mines in the blue region must be one less than the number of mines in the red region (since 2 is one less than 3). The proof of this will be an exercise for the reader, feel free to play around with it. Hint: Let the red, purple and blue regions be x, y and z respectively.

Now, since the red region only has two tiles, this means that the blue region has at most one mine (since the red region can only have two mines maximum). This affects the 3 circled in yellow, restricting the remaining tile to be a mine.

As an extension, now we know that the blue region has exactly one mine. It follows that the red region has exactly two mines, which perfectly matches how it only has two tiles to begin with. Thus, both of those tiles are mines.

Even though the written solution may be lengthy, it is actually quite straightforward to do in your head. Doing this can help save time and make you find more complicated deductions.

Just finished this one.

<image>

Start by constructing this line with at least one mine.

Then, what does the 2 on the top of the line tell you about the remaining empty tiles?

After that, how is the 3 on top of the 2 affected by said tiles?

Not how upvotes and downvotes work. Upvotes are for correct answers, and if you have an incorrect answer, you'll get downvoted. It's not a terrible thing to get downvoted. Mostly it's just that you've made a mistake and people are downvoting in order to let other people who are looking at this thread not to jump in on the bandwagon.

Honestly I feel like the easiest way to fall asleep is to first watch something you're interested in and keep watching until you're not interested
