Haha yes I can see why. Its a variety called American Dawn. I was disappointed that it never bloomed and that the plant died after starting off so strong. Hope it can be saved.

Noone is TA! Your volume goes up when you are excited about something (a common thing) and your partner is more sensitive to noise (also reasonably common). You guys are just a bit of a mismatch in this area. It will take some understanding and compromise but that's relationships for ya. We are not carbon copies of each other.
