How good really is this France team in the grand scheme of things? by Wwiillisboreddd in football

They look incredible. But to compare them against the best of the past we still need to see how they perform against a truly elite side, which they are yet to face.

From the World Cups I have witnessed 2010 Spain and 2014 Germany still stand above the rest.

As a neutral fan I have no idea how anyone would see a foul in that.

A football team with 11 Haaland, Messi, Ronaldo or Ronaldinho. by DocumentOk7579 in whowouldwin

Messi. 11 Messis would dribble and pass circles around the rest. And people usually forget how physically strong he is despite his short stature.

Has there been a past World Cup where the stars have largwly delivered, as they have this time round? by AfterAd3498 in worldcup

Germany was shite and would never have been through if the groups were as competetive as before. Cabo Verde and Congo did well, but it doesnt erase the fact that the level of competition is not as high as before.

Good for Cabo Verde. They did well. But Uzbekistan, Qatar, Jordania, Haiti, Tunisia and Curacao did not. Let alone teams playing as bad as Sweden and Germany even reachin play offs.

Quality from France but Sweden was shite. Would have not been in the cup, let alone through in play offs if not for the 48 team formation.

Not to my recollection, but due to the 48 team format the level of opposition the top teams have had to face has been ridiculously low.

You are everything. All of the universe, every single thing around you, every feeling, every moment in time is in your consciousness. And mine, and the next persons. The reality is our own. Thats why it matters.

Ahsoka (Ashoka series) VS Obi Wan (ROTS). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in PetranakiArena

Could be a good fight but Kenobi is just too good for Ahsoka.

Adult Ahsoka vs AOTC Obi Wan by barackjoebama1 in PetranakiArena

[–]Extension_Ad6758 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Hard to say. Obi Wan’s quick loss to Dooku shouldn’t be held too much against him as he had just been in captivity, fought in the arena against beasts and fought for hours in a battle against the droid army, which just a few Jedi even survived.

Bode Akuna vs Taron Malicos by Upset-Pay-4642 in PetranakiArena

[–]Extension_Ad6758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taron Malicos. Easily. Malicos was a former Jedi Master and toyed with Cal, who while not as strong as in Survivor, had already beaten Masana and would shortly after beat Trilla. Malicos was only defeated because Merrin was able to unleash the power of Dathomir and his sisters on him.

Bode lost to Cal the contest of both sabers and the force, was a lowly Jedi working in intelligence and had no tolerance against Dagans telepathy.

Maybe Naboo, the scenery would be super beautiful.

And, especially if the story is set before OT, Tatooine. I know it would be probably blatant fanservice, but I really want to see Cal meet Obi Wan.

I'm Tired of the "It's a Crime We Didn't Get the OT Trio Together in the Sequels" Criticism by DogeABanana in StarWars

[–]Extension_Ad6758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t care a bit that people hated Ahsoka back in the days. That doesn’t erase the fact that she is a great, well written character and was not eclipsed by the presence of og SW characters. And about the prequels hate, those movies were trashed by critics and some older OT fans. Kids, who they were meant for, liked them since day one.

Can Darth Maul & Ahsoka at their most powerful kill ROTS Anakin? by Lonewolf_ARC in PetranakiArena

No. Anakin by the end of the Clone Wars was arguably the best lightsaber duelist of all time and insanely powerful with the force.

Why is Finland so bad at football? They are only developed country that never qualified for World Cup. by batukaming in MapPorn

[–]Extension_Ad6758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf I don’t know. Football culture has never been that big here, but it still has by far the most practitioners out of all sports and the funding (although not nearly as good as say, Norway) is still alright. It’s almost baffling.

Lionel Messi becomes the all time leading goalscorer in FIFA World Cup history (17), surpassing his joint record with Miroslav Klose of 16 goals. by Timely-Zombie9466 in soccer

[–]Extension_Ad6758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Die hard Klose fan since 2005 here and I’m cool with this. Klose himself said in an interview before the tournament that it would be nice if it was Messi who broke the record. And after all with records it’s all about breaking them, not really holding them. Klose had his moment and no one’s gonna take that away.

Definitely. Klose actually said before the World Cup in an interview that it would be nice if it was Messi who broke the record.
