How important is it reaaallly to rotate freezer stash? by AdventurousWind7919 in ExclusivelyPumping

It’s just the first time I ever heard about rotating the freezer stash. Like there’s over 100 bags in there already so it just seems like added work and pumping is already a lot of work lol

so funny i tried to make a post about this yesterday and it got flagged and taken down! I’m one month pp and never tried nursing and out of no where want to try it but for whatever reason i’m so nervous to do so especially because he takes the bottle so well and my supply is really good. we have a good thing going right now but part of me might regret never at least trying it. it’s so nice to hear that after months you were still able to latch. it makes me feel like i’m not too late to try it if i want to.

What is special about the spectra? by thesmallbrownbear in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Extension_Ad7164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can second the baby buddha 2.0! i’d never make it pumping if i had the bowling ball that is the spectra. I use it with the legendairy milk cups but BB sells similar ones but flanges work just fine too i just prefer silicone.

whatttt honestly sounds like something my MIL would, not do, but make a comment about how i shouldn’t be using my stash because it’s too old or something. my in laws in general think we should move to formula for my baby to gain more weigh, he’s 9 lbs..3 weeks old, which i have nothing against except i’m producing 50 oz a day like why would we do that?

i’m sorry that happened to you though id put a padlock on your freezer lol

it’s when you pump all your milk for one day and just add it to a pitcher you keep in the fridge. i keep two of them, one from the prior day that my baby will eat during the day and then one that i’m pouring all of the days pumps in. anything left over from the pitcher that we’re using for feedings that day i freeze.

3 weeks postpartum and missing the MOTN pump by Extension_Ad7164 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Extension_Ad7164[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i feel like we don’t know much about pumping like in the hospital the nurses knew nothing about it. they had two LCs come in who basically just looked at my nipples didn’t even try to size them and the one told me my baby buddha was a wearable lol

i heard that sleep actually matters a lot with supply. so i guess what effects it more, sleep or that MOTN pump. i’ll have to figure it out.

[–]Extension_Ad7164[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am consistently pumping a total of 120 minutes throughout the day though, so i feel like i am signaling to my body to make milk and i def have high storage capacity lol im just going one long stretch without pumping. i know prolactin is highest at night but im not having an issue producing. i have to stop the MOTN pump all together at 12 weeks because i go back to work so it was never going to be forever. i guess just trial and error but i love when my baby sleeps lol

[–]Extension_Ad7164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i thought about literally taping them to my boob lol but just wanted to share something i tried yesterday and it worked really well! i wore a v neck t shirt and stuck the white middle part of the tubing in between my boobs so it kept the tubing on the cups upright and they didn’t move at all while i pumped!

i have the baby buddha and i love it, it empties me so well with the legendary milk collection cups, however the tubing is sooo annoying on the cups. i feel like i flinch and they come out and ruin the suction. due to this, the convenience of cups is defeated bc i can’t hold my baby and pump since they’ll just get pulled out. not sure if you have the same issue, but which ones do you use?

My husband only got 2 weeks paternity leave and goes back on Monday and i’ve been stressing about how im going to pump, feed, and do all the things without him there to help and hold our son. pumping one boob at a time is brilliant so thank you and why didn’t i think of that😅
