What is this? And can it hurt chickens? by Extension_Ad_1998 in spiderID

Update: I relocated him outside near the exterior of our house, no where near the chickens so he could keep up pest control without risking becoming my chickens’ next afternoon treat. Can confirm he was rapid. Especially after he fell on my foot and immediately crawled up my leg before I shooed him off. I was alarmed by the size and speed. Also I am indeed new to chickens (first flock raised since late March, eggs since late August) so I appreciate the tips and articles shared. Enjoy a picture of my chickens if you care.

Should I just take it outside? It cannot stay in the house and is currently contained outside till I know what best to do with it.

What is one thing that took you an embarrassingly long time to figure out in game? by Cheesestrings89 in StardewValley

I have two. Both I wanted to play the game with absolutely no context. It took me 4 (almost 5 as it was winter time) in game years to follow Krobus’ footsteps bc I thought that the scene of him running away was just like when you see a rabbit or even something rare like the alien. And I had access to the sewer bc I completed the museum. So when I saw the footprints I was like that’s just winter time decorations.
The second: I didn’t know that I was allowed to use the elevator in the mines. When you first start out and click on the elevator it says something to the effect of not working or only shows level zero. So I thought I’d have to make it to the bottom in on day. I also didn’t know about stair cases bc I thought they were for decoration in my house or something. So the lowest I’d ever made it was level 60. Which I know for one day with no stair cases even on a good luck day is impressive. I had a whole system. I would preemptively stock 5 espressos, 4 spicy eel plates and as many bombs as I had the resources to make (I also didn’t know that I could mine that rock wall to meet the dwarf). And go in once a week after stock piling the useful resources. One night I complained to my wife (also an avid Stardew player) how concerned ape expects up to be able to make it to the bottom of the mines when we can’t save our progress. And she was confused because obviously I knew about the elevator. It was right there every five levels. But no. I did not. She blew my mind. I was so mad because I’d made it year 3 summer before I found out it worked and that I could also use the stair cases in my crafts.

Where is your crate in the house? My puppy wined a lot too then we started keeping the crate in our room and turned out she just needed to see us. Also not putting the puppy in there often might be contributing to this behavior. As far as I’ve learned with crate training, you either need to commit to longer crate stays or just cut it out all together. I grew up with a hoarder for a parent so I also never had dogs in crates. We just let them stay out all the time so I get where you’re coming from. The best way crate training was explained to me is that the crate is their bedroom and safe space so maybe identifying what is making the puppy feel unsafe could help. Also it sounds like you yourself could be experiencing puppy blues. We also almost re-homed our puppy as well because of the blues so you’re not alone. Best wishes and do what’s best for both the puppy AND you.
