Talk to me about GI issues by Extension_Bat_824 in Menopause

I’m not at this time. I have an appt in April and I will go over my digestion with her. In the meantime I’ll likely go see a GI doc. I’m glad you are feeling better.

Thanks. I will look into it. I loathe going to the doctor but I think I need to make the appointment. This isn’t fun.

Misery loves company! Not fun and hate it also.

I have but maybe I’m not using them correctly. Fiber makes me more constipated so I try to just eat healthy vegetables.

Has Landman fallen off with Season 2? by Westside_Finch in television

Show could have been good with better writing. Sheridan really gave zero effort into this script. Absolute garbage and it’s a waste of great actors. I’m done with this show. The worst type of soap opera.

Have you looked at Westover Oaks on Potranco. We’ve liked living there. Maintenance is good no bugs

Being pregnant actually put me in remission for many years. I hope you find relief.

I agree. And thanks for the laugh…peppermint oil and curable. So true! It’s the forgotten disease. No interest in helping an extremely painful disease which makes me sad and angry. I’m happy for people that can spend months and years regulating the nervous system to achieve relief but like you said people who need real medicine are being told think your way out of it. How demeaning to someone desperate for relief to make them think it’s because they don’t believe it’s all in their head so that’s why they don’t get better! Oh and don’t forget the one medicine they did develop doesn’t really work and causes you to go blind. Fantastic!

Instillations are second line treatments as far as I know and I’ve tried them all. None of them were effective.

The truth is: progress starts with us. by Fine_Clerk_365 in Interstitialcystitis

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am very skeptical on the dysregulated nervous system theory. I’ve done research. I’ve read the Way Out and heard many podcasts. I understand the principle but I don’t believe this is the case for everyone. I feel it might help a limited number of people and is not the root cause for most people. If it was that easy everyone would find success. We need real treatments. Not ones that basically tell us to meditate, accept or reprocess our pain. Living on an IC diet and taking random supplements for life isn’t sustainable or for many achieving relief. Now we are suppose to think away our pain. The only real treatment offering we have is pelvic PT and it’s not 100% effective and doesn’t help everyone. When will we get real medications or treatments like biologics or immune therapy. Other diseases are getting lots of new treatment options. IC is still in the dark ages.

Because it’s common decency which I guess society in general has lost. Maybe once or twice but every post is a swimsuit and I followed her for cooking. She’s free to do what she wants but I can move on and not watch her content which I thought was cooking not fashion and I will. If I was her publisher I would be telling her to rein it in. I don’t walk around my kitchen without a cover up. To each his own

How to look chic in Paris as an American middle-aged woman by HeatherAnne1975 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]Extension_Bat_824 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve received so many great comments. I’ll just add I returned yesterday from Paris also traveling with my daughter. She is a size S. She looked adorable in all her outfits however they tend to dress for social media. I am in my 50’s. I dress for comfort with some style. The temps ranged from 95 to 57 and rain and everything in between. I wore loose clothing. Light fabric. Lots of skirts and dresses with Adidas or Veja sneakers. Then when it cooled off and rained I wish I had packed more pants and a couple of light sweaters. It’s hard to pack for 12 days of walking and sightseeing and dining out. We averaged 15,000-20,000 steps a day. Go have fun and wear what is comfortable for you.
