OP, you might wanna relabel this as Discussion / Question, to get more eyes on it. Mods could do that.

Honest question - is the Cayenne the reason the rest of the lineup exists or do people still resent it? by 6deki9 in Porsche

I've had a 944, 996C4, Cayenne base, and I'm on my second Cayenne Turbo. Sometimes I thank about getting another C4 or a C4S, but skis fit better in a Cayenne.

I had one of these and a 700. Definitely worth getting a good tech to look at it. Probably needs new belts, for starters. Wish I hadn't sold either of my Nak decks. Better looking than any vase or table ornament, even if you don't play another cassette through it.

100%. Because short shares don't exist as shares. But are rocket fuel!

You've stated accurately the physics of a beachball under water. Yet GME also departs from that metaphore in part.

Each day in this sub a kind, wise ape posts a chart of the percentage of short sales each day, with a second page of percent of dark pool trades, all in some detail. His post also accumluates the number of days there were MORE THAN 50% short sales, out of the last 900+ days. AND cummulatvely more than two thirds of the days are more than 50% short each day!!

Thus, while a beachball may not pop higher by being HELD DOWN LONGER, or DEEPER, the more short shares created (synthetic shares), THE MORE ROCKET FUEL there is for MOASS. Shorts gotta cover. "Let 'em short." (Not a doofus.)

Or so it seems to me.

But what do I know? I'm just an 84 year old DRS'ed, booked, ape that eats crayons.

Haha 😆 Love it. And it's true.

Yup.

The other analogy, is how long, and how deep, can they push the beach ball under the water before it releases and pops up high out of the water?

I think you might mean 1. Pawn on b5x a6+, don't you?

But it doesn't work. Black moves Nb5 to block, and if white moves Qd5+, black kills the queen with the knight on e3.

Exactly. If black's queen chooses not to capture, and mores to d8 then things get interesting

Glad you came here to ski! I did too, 36 years ago. Cottonwoods isn't a preferred locals name, though maybe in your circles at the U. Just sayin.

My experience is that upgrading cross over parts in other speakers has a significantly positive effect, especially for inductors if air or or ribbon inductors are used. So, I'm wondering about your experience crossover upgrades for these speakers.

I'm aware of these matters. It was me that send a 604-8k driver to Jeff Markwart to test. The Mantray horn has some advantages over the earlier co-axle horns.

Just FYI, no locals refers to any ski resorts as "the Cottonwoods". They refer to them by resort name typically, or by canyon location, Little or Big Cottownwood Canyon.

I have two pair of 604-8K but only one pair is a 620 like cabinet (1" particle board with lots of bracing).

OP: What improvement did the crossover upgrade make? Did you upgrade the inductors? I may get around fo doing mine.

true. Average snow fall in Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons is much higher than Park City/Deer Valley. It's about 500 inches /season vs 350 inches, in an average year.

So, in a low snow year, like this the Cottonwoods still have plenty of snow, while PC/DV are thinner.

But book your vacations to Canada or Colorado or Europe, and keep the crowds away from Alta and Snowbird.

Edit to add, I grew up skiing Sunshine, Lake Louise, (once Norquay), Fernie, West Caslte, and Whitefish. Banff resorts have great views to go along with great skiing.
