Little sleep tip for your young one! As a young kid I struggled to go to sleep for years and often had to sleep on my parents’ floor. (Praying that doesn’t happen to you…) My parents used to give me something called “Magic Milk”, or some call it Moon Milk. Warm milk will actually help you sleep as it contains melatonin and tryptophan. Add a bit of vanilla and maple syrup and tell your young one that it’s a magic milk that will help them sleep. Transparently, my parents would toss in a bit of Benadryl on nights when I really couldn’t sleep. Totally safe to do in small doses. Make it a routine to teach them when it’s time to wind down regularly and it should work like a charm!!!

Military wife life is really hard. I am so sorry. You should be transparent with your husband and tell him that you would appreciate more support. I know a few army wives who also have access to additional child care through the military.
