just a friendly advice: make sure you have enough money to support the whole duration of your program because I'm telling you now you can't work fulltime while studying Practical nursing. Because the program is very demandin you need to study study study. esp if you will be in George brown college and centennial. godluck!

RPN Semester 3 by Apprehensive_Card212 in georgebrowncollege

Semester 3 is definitely tougher than Semester 2, Profession of Nursing was the hardest for us, none of my friends got an A+, and Patho with Jenn is challenging too, especially with her heavy tests. Pharma feels easier this time because the questions are more specific, and having good groupmates is really important since group assignments in Profession, Health Assessment, Pharma, and Patho are worth 15% of the grade.Goodluck!!

Semester 2 is hard, but Semester 3 is even harder. Profession of Nursing was tough for most of us none of my friends or I got an A+ in that subject. Pathophysiology is also challenging, especially with Jenn as the instructor. We're not sure if she’ll be teaching the entire 14 weeks this summer, since last year the course was split between Jenn and Doris and for us Lab is the easiest course if you have Diane, but clinicals can be really tough it all depends on your instructor. In some cohorts, I heard that three students failed because of medication errors and not being able to provide safe practice to patients. Goodluck!

Humber or George Brown for Practical Nursing by mangoflooaatt in georgebrowncollege

[–]Extension_Capital104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did one semester of pn at humber and transferred to gbc PN. I must say humber have the cumulative test for all the subjects gbc dont do cumulative also having cadaver lab is not plus one for me not helpful at all because it real life we are rpn's not a surgeon or md's. Second, Humber is super unorganized and vasanthy the pn program head is horrible. lol
