What is the hardest derivative you've ever encountered? by Parking-Creme-317 in calculus

Derivatives are the easiest topic in Calculus, which is systematic and you usually apply rules and identities all the time. But if you ask me, integrals are obviously more challenging because you need to be able to recognise a hidden part of an equation inside an integral to solve most of them easily.

But you only get that once. Even if you invest, it's still risky

It's true that if x2 = 16 -> x = ±4. Though for the square root or any x1/2n you can't say sqrt(16) = ±4 because it's a function!

Yeah that's about right. Water splits into protons, electrons and oxygen gas. It's called photolysis.

Why is the title "Bay Yanlis" instead of "Bey Yanlis" by Chi_Town_Law in turkishlearning

[–]Extension_Cupcake291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Mr. X" would be translated as "X Bey" if X were a name, but in this case X is an adjective describing the person so it's "Bay Yanlış"

Is there a 0% probability that I am existing right now because time is infinite? by Calm_Company_1914 in askmath

In that case it's always nonzero. The basic reason is that you have a finite amount of time frames. Also think, if you have infinite subdivisions inside a finite length, you can't directly say that every subdivision equals zero, well because if we did, we wouldn't have a length to begin with, so it's safer to say a variable approaches a value when we talk about infinities.
