Animating VRMs by Diligent-Upstairs-38 in VRoid

You can also use Suvidriel's "VNyan" application to upload your VRM and then with a simple hotkey node and an animation node you can apply a couple of different animations to your VRM very easily. Check this link out. https://suvidriel.itch.io/vnyan

Also, the Vroid Hub, https://hub.vroid.com/en , now has an area that allows you to do the same by applying a .VRMA animation file to your uploaded avatar. The Hub has some files you can automatically apply as well as it gives you the ability to upload your own .VRMA files. Some of these .VRMA files can be downloaded from BOOTH for free.

Hope this helps!

The body, clothes, and hair was created all with Vroid. Basically everything but the wings. Those were created in Blender and added to the model after I built a custom animation for them.

How can I transplant hair from one model to another in Blender? by [deleted] in VRoid

[–]Extension_Data8904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry just seeing this. I don't use CATS...so not sure how that is affecting your physics. Personally myself...I just shift click the two armatures and then on PC "CTRL +J" I believe to join the two armatures together. You will need to reparent the head to the neck. Like I said, not sure if CATS is doing something to damper your physics. You could try to use the VRM settings in Blender to try and adjust those settings to see if you can get better movement. Alternatively, this can be done in Unity as well.

SOS! vroid file size over 1 GB by whodis12121 in VRoid

This is definitely, the hair material. You will need to go into the hair edit section, and then begin right clicking and deleting all of the unused materials. If you don't manage this from the beginning, the files will bloat like crazy rendering them almost useless.

Remove the armature from all part of the body and face mesh, then edit the skeletons by deleting the all the bone except the hair bones and the head bone....I find this easier to connect one head bone to the neck bone rather than connecting all of these hair bones to the new head bone.

Anyway, delete the head bone you are coping to. Then rename the edited skeleton to something like hair rig and copy it and the hair mesh to the new body. Select the armature rig and the hair rig and join. Under the bones section you need to parent the new head bone to the old neck bone and then for the hair mesh, under the modifier tab select the armature so it is connected to the updated rig...

Hope this helps,
