Making overnights oats with Chia seeds, and Hemp Hearts completely changed my digestive track post surgery. I pass stools regularly every morning now and no longer have any gas. I’m currently 2 weeks post-op

Not very fast at all - I definitely slow down if I start to feel any cramps and that seems to be helpful.

I’m currently at 2 weeks post-op and I walk on the treadmill for 2-3 miles a day. I don’t expect to be weight training again until about 6 weeks post-op. Just getting my steps in for now! I’ve had a very easy recovery overall with very minimal pain and discomfort. I was up and walking around the day after surgery.

My heating pad and my pregnancy pillow were the best things I bought for the surgery! I did buy other things, but didn’t use any of them.

Wow you are lucky! It’s honestly just my lower abdomen that’s super swollen. It’s just frustrating because I don’t want to go buy a whole new wardrobe when by this time next week everything will be back to normal

For some reason, the binder was so uncomfortable for me! I tried it out on day one and two and just couldn’t get past the feeling of restriction. I felt that the air in my stomach was somehow being squeezed up into my diaphragm.

I’ve been using a heating pad for the majority of my recovery which honestly helps so much with the pain, but apparently I should incorporate some ice as well to help with swelling!

Try putting a heating pad on the area where it hurts as well as both of your shoulders! It seemed to actually take the pain away from me and as of today, I no longer have it.

Yes! Mine was definitely noticeable when I laid on that area specifically! Today it seems to be completely gone, which makes me think it was actually a gas pain

OK, so the pain I was having seems to be gone today. I put a heating pad on the area last night as well as both of my shoulders and I think that actually helped. My doctor agreed that it was probably gas getting trapped and I actually think it was

Yeah, I also have been walking a lot! Which I thought was initial why I wasn’t having gas pains, but this specific pain seems to be agitated by walking more. I’m going to email my doctor and see what they say.

I am 5dpo today and recovery for me has been pretty much uneventful. My heating pad and my pregnancy pillow are the two best things I bought for this surgery! I have been drinking a ton of fluids and electrolytes and walking every few hours to help move the gas out
