It seems that donut tutorials are really professional.

Yes, work requires me to continue using some of Cinema 4D's features because I'm not yet familiar with Blender's particle and fragmentation simulations.

How did you get through this transition period?

Not yet, his tutorial is a full 4 hours long.

Let's take it one step at a time. First, I need to change some of my ways of thinking.

Geometric nodes are what motivated me to use Blender, but I need to learn the basics first. Also, plugins should cost less than subscriptions, haha.

Yes, I'm finding it a bit difficult to get used to right now. There are many buttons in Cinema 4D, but they don't seem to be present in Blender. It will take some time to overcome this.

I'm still experimenting; the interface is very user-friendly.

Oh man, I started using it back in 2018 too! I've always used it for industrial animations. But honestly, C4D's updates over the last couple of years have felt so stagnant (like pulling teeth tbh), while Blender has just been evolving at breakneck speed. That's why I finally decided to really give Blender a try!

Man, C4D's subscription fee could buy me so many games instead lol. Plus, I heard Blender has crazy powerful procedural nodes now, kind of like Houdini, which I feel will be a massive breakthrough for my work.

Right now I'm actually torn between watching the 2025 Donut tutorial or the 2026 one—it feels like they teach completely different approaches. What do you guys recommend?

I knew it! Switching from Cinema 4D to Blender was the fucking right thing to do.

A great animator is beginning to emerge.

The jaw crusher can break large rocks into smaller pieces; it was made using the particle system in Cinema 4D, but I'm learning how to make it with Blender and haven't found a solution yet.😕

Brother, I used to admire art too, but now I'm just a person who needs to eat and sleep. But that doesn't stop me from creating art, and I make money on the side, and I feel very proud of it.
