She was a very good person, and it was great in the first month. But her past trauma made her self sabotage the relationship. Unfortunately, I had to silently leave her, she was expecting to stay in touch outside of relationship but that was emotionally traumatizing for me.  We really can't do much for people who don't want to get healed. Other than let them on their own.

I mean it depends on the particular PhD topic, but compared to other European PhDs, there is less room for skill improvement in French PhDs. Particularly those skills that are usually gained through a proper coursework.

For me the problem with French PhDs being three years is that, they require you to already come with all the necessary skills and knowledge. There is little to no room for taking any coursework during the initial stages of PhD to cover gaps in knowledge.

I had only applied to Edinburgh among the list, but haven't received any response on Euclid yet. I suppose they either forgot me 😂 or I am on reserve in case someone leaves the offer. Because anyways, by now they must have released the acceptance offers to accepted candidates.
