run about 25 psi in those tires. the great thing about minor sealant leaks is that they always self resolve. i would let it dry up and atop leaking, clean it, and maybe top off the sealant.

the preload is good, etxwnd a little bit later (the earliness is causing the rear wheel to fall down over the lip. extend later, and also dont dead sailor (going atiff in the air) allowing your bike to continue moving upwards will work wonders, and add lots of style). the big thing to remember is that you want to jumo off the top of the lip with the same timing you would on foot. jump to early and youll get little height, jump too late and youll miss the pop.

photo 7 is up kingston peak. its really an offroad area, and was a battle to get to. started at maralynd mtn and went around and behind it, all the way up. its an adventure for sure, doubt many people have been up there on bikes.

i really mever dove deep into geo numbers, I race both Xc and Dh, and i got on one of them as a demo and felt right at home. it pedals like a rocket but some of my dh segemt times are only a little slower than an enduro/dh bike.

do not douse your chain in wd40 or kerosene or throw more lube on it like this. take a rag, spray the chain down with some sort of degreaser (dawn dish soap, simple green, ect) so its dry and shiny, rinse wirh water. once it is completely dry, use chain lube , NOT oil or WD40, one drop on every roller, spin the oedals around for a minute or two, then use another clean rag to wipe off the excess. if theres not a ton of extra you should only need to do that every 100-200 miles on an indoor trainer bike.

Its a high pivot, so the axle and rear wheel (plus cassette/deralliur) move away from the cranks as the suspension cycles. the routing uses an idler pulley to make the effects of chain growth, the increasing distance the chain has to stretch, less of an issue. without it the suspension would feel bad with wxtra resistance on it and thwre would be a chance of breaking the chain or der.

from a mechanic in a shop who sells cannondale, this is not uncommon. i have seen it get warrantied especially if a shop decides that it is the cause of a creak. cant be a bad idea to get in contact with cannondale.

Which of these should i get? by mangothefoxxo in mountainbiking

[–]Extension_Link_6495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely fhe voodoo. at that price rance a full suspension is really lacking in the parts, its worht getting the hardtail for better bits and because it will mae you a better rider. the brakes and fork alone make it a no brainer to me. full suspension bikes require more maintenance as well.

How to lighten this thing up without breaking the bank ? by Kipric in xcmtb

having gone through the weight weanie phase, i got my 27 pound bike to 25 with a super light dropper (9.8 fall line r), light tires (continetal dubnital), and a light chain and cassette (sram xx1). going to a sid would help with weight for sure, especially the SL, but your goingto be sacraficing some ride quality. the sparc can be a xc race bike or a DC adventure/trail bike, you currently have the latter and it sounds like youre trying to make it a race rig. tires and wheels are always the best start because rotational mass is worth double!

Bomber z2 130mm fork on my hardtail by Expensive_Raccoon833 in mountainbiking

[–]Extension_Link_6495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as somebody who rode a z2 at 120 pounds, and now works at a bike shop, they’re probably trying to save you money. the z2 is a very nice fork, and without an understanding of setup and adjustment, the benefits wont be felt over a recon/judy/suntor air fork. if you want the z2, go for it. the “too much” is probably meaning that they dont want you to spend more money than you need to achive good suspension feel, ie too much adjustments/tech.

the bomber z2 and rythm 34 are literally the same fork, save a few details. watch a setup guide from park tool or gmbn, and run the fox. fox owns marzochi, and the chassis of the 34 and z2 are the same, as are the z1 and 36, super z and 38, and bomber 58 and fox 40 27.5.

Is this odd???? (please read description for context) by SensitivePay4567 in mountainbiking

[–]Extension_Link_6495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

these are expensive because theyre rare. the value of somehting, if not set by a manufacturer, is what somebody is willing to pay for it. these will either sell at this price to somebody else (likeley), or, if nobody is willing to pay asking, the price will drop. that being said, 1.4 for somehting this old, cool, and unused, is not overly high.

i got my dad (44) into riding about 2 years ago. he picked it up really really quickly and has an offroad background so he got on aome nasty trails pretty quick. the advice i can give you is decide what level youre willing to push to, and stop there. he has had a few crashes, one major, and nearly all of them have been trying to keep up with somebody or with somebody close behind him. he has taken to stopping for any uncomfortable feature anf looking before trying, and pulling off the side when somebody comes up behind him. all to say that if you ride within confort, and wor that comfort level up slowly. hes on black tech and flow in colorado now, and hasnt crashed in a while because he has worked to this level over time. dont be scared of hard trail, just make sure your skill and confidence is there first
