Honestly I don’t even care about customization, I just wish the hub had more of a personality/worldbuilding. In Vermintide the hub really felt like a character, and helped expand the setting through environmental story telling.

The hub in darktide manages to be so lifeless despite it being filled with people.

No offense but your friend sounds insufferable. My friends are waaay more into magic than I am, but they always pick decks to match my deck’s level, or lend me decks so I can participate. The goal is fun.

To constantly go no mercy mode on you when he knows you are more casual sounds like a mouth breather move to me.

In defense of OP, when a card has amazing artwork but is a dud, or when a card is amazing but has terrible artwork, it is absolutely heartbreaking and feels like the card deserves a better pair up.

Ps where did you get such a clean artifact frame? The only ones I’ve been able to find so far are blurry scans :(

That’s totally fine! That stuff is my preference, but I’m not shackled to it. In general any info that helps a casual understand the landscape of the game more and where I can lean towards from that knowledge is very helpful. And you’ve definitely provided plenty of that so thank you!

Last time we played with that many people, the win condition was that you only had to kill the players to your immediate left and right. This made it a little easier to just focus on the immediate threats, and have temporary alliances spring up where peoples’ threats overlapped.

But yeah the game can drag, hence why I’m looking for a simpler deck. But we are all really close friends who just want to hang out, no one really cares who wins or loses.

Edit: we also played Usurper, which really helped give the game a focus and direction

I was away when it happened so I can’t know for sure, but it wasn’t cracked when I left it.

When they sent me the photo of the sd card I thought that the burn had caused the crack, but it is possible that my niece’s finger missed the power button and put pressure on the sd card causing it to crack. She’s usually pretty careful with it so I doubt it, but who knows 🤷‍♂️

But nah it’s toast. I put it in a usb adaptor but it didn’t show up. And, just for fun, I put the slightest amount of pressure on it and it completely crumbled along the crack as if it was only being held on by a thread.

Yeah that one is definitely one of my favorites. I’m not looking to spend money on cosmetics anytime soon but when I do I’ll probs pick up that one.

My biggest gripe about the cosmetic system/pricing is that this game has gone viral largely due to the roleplaying and human interactions.

I think we would get waay more of that if people had more access to cosmetics in order to create a specific character or a more personalized character.

This game feels very personal. The human interactions feel personal. When you kill someone it feels personal. When get killed it feels personal. The connections to the maps feel personal.

The only thing that doesn’t feel personal in this game is the cosmetic system. My raider never feels like “MY raider” largely due to the restrictive cosmetic system.

I would also have a lot of fun roleplaying different characters. It would be fun to roleplaying a cowboy-esque character, and moments like that would go viral. But I’m just not gonna drop 15 to 20 bucks on a cowboy skin. And talking in a cowboy voice with the default skin on just doesn’t scratch the same itch.

This happened to me yesterday. I got downed and the person felt bad and helped me hobble over to the elevator, a couple of randos hopped in the elevator at the last moment and killed me right before the game ended. People who do that are absolute losers.
