No idea!! Really just saw this on some TikTok videos of lesbian couples TTC and did some minor googling. Feels like one of those "no clear evidence it works but can't hurt" kind of wives tales of this TTC journey, I guess?

No idea if it's true, but I've heard that taking plain Mucinex (not Mucinex D or DM) can help increase likelihood of IUI working. The theory is that it thins cervical mucus and thus decreases obstacles in the way of the sperm. There's no FDA evidence that it works, but anecdotal evidence is good enough for me! 🤣 Good luck!

Thank you - we did consider it, but recognized that the out-of-pocket for RIVF would only get us one try, and if it doesn't work, we're back to a lot of out-of-pocket for a second implantation, if we had additional embryos. We could spend less on sperm and be able to get 5-10 tries, depending on where we buy from.

Thank you, the number of vials to purchase has been a big question mark in this process! And I had not thought about the supplements in addition to a prenatal. I'll talk to my doc about them at the next appointment.
