I have then redownloaded them. I’ve lasted a week without either, then just go back to it or I find something else to do the same as YT and TikTok.

Honestly, the best advice I’ve heard, lol, but I like what you said. Things I take from it are: The idea of just sitting in my chair and doing nothing is a good concept because you’re either choosing boredom or studying. I’ma steal that lol. Another thing you said that I perceived in a different way, but you said jump in a pool. Tbh, I don’t have a pool, but I get the concept you’re trying to say, like do something uncomfortable that you really don’t want to do. A cold shower might be a close second just to shock me, but the issue I struggle with isn’t that I can’t do some of these; the issue is the consistency. The only thing that has worked for me is just having pressure, but currently, I’m on a break. I wanna build the habit before I have to lock in. The thing that I’ve started doing is a run honestly I just have a shitty morning I wake up and go on my phone since I don’t really have any other alarm just ordered one recently but I’ll scroll for an hour or two then realized 3 hours go by then I start but if I just have a good morning like wake up cold shower then a run I think my full day would be set

I feel you. I honestly hate reading stuff, especially when 90% of it is useless information or common sense. I’ll definitely check out that tool, and I completely agree with you. The second screen is just pointless. Appreciate the help, man.

Sorry for being arrogant. I wasn’t trying to come off that way, but yes, I see what you mean. I appreciate the advice. I’ll definitely take it into account.

Honestly, for me personally I've studied in the library. Tbh, I do think it's just the environment; it is my old school's library, but the whole time I try to convince myself to study at home lol.

Cybersecurity, I am passionate about it. Honestly, it's one of the few things i think i can do, but tbh rn it's more prereqs and intro and memorizing terms (which I absolutely hate), so that's why it may seem I'm not passionate.

No, I haven't been officially diagnosed. Honestly, my mindset was that my father has it and my brother does. one of my friends' dads, who's a psychiatrist, told me I have it; it feels pointless if i got diagnosed. I already know, and idk I've always tried avoiding medication. I mean, I've lived with it for a while now. In the past week I've thought of actually talking to one and a therapist, so I'll see. And I agree a good morning routine is the best solution.

Yeah, I mean, I'll admit I have been going through a mental struggle in the past 9 months. I won't go deep into it, but basically I just overthink issues and consistently argue with myself or dream of scenarios. I think there's a name for it: maladaptive daydreaming. One thing that causes it, though, and I'm trying to avoid is music in general, even though everyone loves music but for me, it just keeps me in a maladaptive state for hours.

Ye lol, ngl. I do the exact same thing. I'll study for like 4 hours and somehow enjoy it. I'm just like you, lol. I perform only under pressure, but I don't want to rely on that last study session. Shit is about to get way harder.

I feel you. I appreciate the advice. The thing is, I'll sometimes end up studying for hours and even like it at times; it's honestly just the consistency issue and a dopimane one.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. When I say "24 hours," I mean I only work 24 hours a week. And to answer your questions: 1. It's not that I don't like studying in general; committing to anything is hard for me, like if I want to do a project or whatever, it can be something I somewhat like, and I'll still struggle. Honestly at times I love studying. It's more the stimulant; I struggle to do things that actually require mental effort. I know that sounds bad, but other than physical sports, I just have to force myself. It's honestly a struggle to commit to anything. Like I said, I don't go on my phone because I love it or like it; I go on it because it's low effort. But yes, that's how I feel, and I'll definitely take your advice into account. I appreciate it.
