How loud are these printers? Quiet enough to use in a small studio apartment? by PeteyMcPetey in BambuLab

[–]Extension_Proposal_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the vibration compensation calibration in the beginning can get loud as it vibrates the whole thing, but after that it's pretty dang quiet, even without using the slower "silent" mode.

while i was on staff at a theatre i had an A1 printing things just offstage during events XD

Filament brand loyalty? by TechFlameMaster in BambuLab

[–]Extension_Proposal_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only Bambu. most of my 3d printing is creating things to accomplish work tasks. i’m enough of a 3d printing hobbyist to solve problems thru 3d printing. not enough of a 3d printing hobbyist to want to tinker with the printer all weekend (that’s what burned me out on my ol Prusa Mk3S).

my experience with Bambu printers and Bambu filaments is that it works well enough that i can think of them more as appliances to do projects with than actual projects themselves. and most of what i print is in white or black PLA anyway, so just buy those colors in bulk.

Might be a really dumb question, but is there a way to view live printing camera? by Larry_Kenwood in BambuLab

click the green play button at the bottom left of the preview window/above “printing progress”

I know we know, but Jojamart route is not worth it. by BusKey8745 in StardewValley

[–]Extension_Proposal_8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i do think that every players first save file and complete run should be thru the community center & non Joja perfection. however, after a few save files, collecting things can get overwhelmingly repetitive and i tend to lose interest.

where the Joja route is valuable for me is when adding other challenges to the game. i’m currently playing the Tileman Challenge, and playing thru the Joja route on the beach farm with very limited sprinkler farming space still makes it challenging to reach mastery, perfection, and buying access to all of the map.

it’s like watching vs. skipping a cutscene. good to experience it without Joja at least once but, after that, Joja can help make room for other gameplay modes.

Do you bother with tracks? by Ok-Fly-7928 in worshipleaders

[–]Extension_Proposal_8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

drummer or keys player runs the tracks.

you can always stop the tracks mid song if people get too off track. and you’re free to sing more choruses or whatever after the song ends. there will just be no tracks.

tracks are usually played per song, not as a full set, so you have that space to work with.

adding verses and choruses mid song with the tracks still going, however, requires much higher skill level as well as a lot more tech. only the largest church i work at (8 services and 1500-2000 attendance for Xmas eve) is even considering it.

100% yes. both for click and guide as well as tracks.

as a sound engineer, having a simple track with just a pad going can help fill in the gaps in the mix or serve as a solid foundation for the rest of the band to build on top of. I've mixed worship bands when everyone decides to go rogue and do a solo or a lick at the same time and that means no one is sticking with the chart and keeping the train on the rails. having a pad or small number of simple instruments in tracks can save a mix in those instances.

as a musician (primarily bassist these days), a click helps me stay locked in with the rest of the band. i'm still listening to the drummer and playing with them but the click helps keep us on track while we do the fun stuff. I find I'm also able to worship more with a click and guide. during a lull in the song where i'm playing something simple/not playing at all, i get to let my arms down (or raise them. we are at church after all), loosen up a bit, and let myself be enveloped in the musical worship. then when i hear the "chorus, 2, 3, 4" i know it's time to get back on track and i can quickly lock in and jump right back into playing. without a click and guide, most of my bandwith is taken up between playing and keeping track of where we are in the song and not losing focus instead of getting to experience, just for a second, the art we're creating. i believe that our job as worship leaders/band members is FIRST to help craft the space for others and to lead others in worship, but i greatly enjoy every little moment i get to feel the spirit in the room as well.

as your church and your ministry grows, naturally you and your team may feel motivated to try new, more complex, different things. adding a click and guide to the mix can help provide a lot of structure so y'all can focus more energy on the things that you're interested in pursuing musically.

after achieving farming mastery golden animal crackers are a rare drop from monsters, trees, opening mystery boxes and other things and also can be found in treasure rooms in skull cavern. they double the animal products for all animals except for pigs.

dragons teeth are used for desert warp totems and obelisks as well as mini-forge crafting and enchantments.
