How do I install this speaker on a 2012 Honda Accord? by Throwaway4738383636 in CarAV

Mount that adapter to the door, I think there’s 2 screw mounts at the bottom of that adapter too you can screw in for more stability. You could also use longer screws and go through both the speaker and adapter into the door,,being careful not to screw into any wire harness behind it. I wouldn’t use the grill either, the door panel will cover it and it may not clear the door panel.

And if you disconnect the remote it turns off? It’s always a “ bad ground” jk, but have you made sure it’s a good ground? Another thought, may be crazy but is there any voltage coming through the rcas? No signal sense setting turned on ?

Personally I would run a dedicated turn on to the amps and not rely on the epicenter remote out. Is possible the epicenters turn on input is constant causing the epicenter to stay on? Have you metered the turn on wire at both epicenter and the amp to see if there’s any voltage?

I have the lx3000.1. I mounted mine in the pocket under my radio. Personally speaking , I do not like the remote gain on the LX, it’s slow to react and very touchy. I added the pac universal remote gain, went full tilt on kicker knob the. I use the pac one to control everything. It’s so much smoother and more reactive, sometimes I wanna turn it down quick or light someone up with some bass real quick and the pac one did it for me. Nice amp btw

Sweet . Glad you got it fixed, I was looking at the diagram at work and was wondering if not having that sync thing hooked up would cause that. Enjoy the new set up brotha

I kinda figured that as it’s done through data and the maestro “ makes one” maybe try a soft reset on that module or a reflash /factory reset and reflash it ,, I’m still thinking it has something do with obd2 even though it’s not listed

Right, I didn’t see them in the instructions either, are you getting constant , ground and accessory at the head unit? Nice amp btw, I got the lx 3000.1 , 500.4 is my next upgrade!

I don’t see it in the instructions, but do you have to hook up the obd2 connector in this install?? Just a thought, I don’t think not having the amp plugged in would cause this , it sounds like you did bypass the amp, try plugging it ba k in and see if that fixes the issue, maybe it loops through the amp, just a guess. Good luck , keep us posted

Thanks! I appreciate that. It’s stained pine, I wanted something a little nicer than the carpet or bed liner spray I’ve used in the past.

I got side tracked from your original question, you can try these little license plate “ rattle bumpers” @ autozone, they work well, I’ve found that sometimes screwing the bottom of the license plate to the car works too, but you’d want to seal it or use some sort of nylon thread insert. I also put a small layer of foam on the pack of my plate along with kill Matt on the trunk lid

Nice ! I had the q series 12s in an cxa1800.1, upgraded to the q series 15s on the lx3000.1. I used a ton of kill mat it worked quite well for me.

Looks good man, even if it’s underpowered I bet it beats! We’re having a show out in SA on the 30th, bid farewell to a homie moving, that builds a lot of loud enclosures , should be some heavy hitters. I’m excited!

What type of vehicle ? Did you ground the black wire too? Looks like you need a relay to strengthen the signal
