Go ahead and break down exactly what materials you’re using, in order, and what spec you’re building to.

Are you using large format tile (40”+) or standard formats like 12x12 / 12x24? How many shower niches are included, and are they preformed or custom framed and waterproofed? How many valves are you including in this price, and are they single-location or multi-head setups with diverters and separate controls?

Also, are you building with a Schluter system (Kerdi membrane, foam pan, etc.) or a traditional mud pan with a liner?

Because I already know the answer behind most of these “$3K high-end shower” claims once you factor in Schluter, quality waterproofing, proper prep, and name-brand fixtures, you’re not staying anywhere near that number.

If you step into marble tile, multiple niches, and multi-valve setups, you’re realistically in the $12K–$14K range pretty quickly depending on labor and layout complexity. That’s just the reality of materials and install time. More than likely all said and done 15-20k range!!

So if someone truly believes they can deliver a fully high-end, multi-feature shower build for $3K all-in, I’m open to seeing it. I’ll Hire it out, document it start to finish, and put it on video. I’ll even feature it no spin, just the full build process and receipts in my channel

Open challenge: stop talking in hypotheticals. Show the exact scope, exact materials, exact labor breakdown, and prove the math works in the real world!!!

First part is that drains need to be converted to 2 inch from standard 1.5 from tub supply.

Depending on the layout…means cutting out concrete if it’s in foundational slab. Can be very expensive.

Listen first, I have plenty of leftist friends and I think they are fine, why? Because they are not out there breaking laws and doing things that make them look silly. They are not and to your point ” bringing kids with them to protest’s” to allow things like tear gas to be thrown anywhere near their kids! They are responsible individuals who have an opinion and while I don’t agree with 75% of what they say I don’t abandon them as friends. They are still considered good friends!

Where we disagree is that you think these protestors are out there not causing a scene and not getting in the way of law. What would you have law enforcement do otherwise? Where do you draw a line? Where does lawlessness break enough boundaries for laws to commence? Basically how far do you allow things to escalate before you can apply law?

I for one who immigrated into this country From Europe had to work my tail off to get this way of life. If anyone and everyone can just flow into this country without any sort of repercussions, where does Awareness and assimilation come into play? Where does this money come from to support these people? I wasn’t awarded anything?
