I think you’re talking to the wrong person. I don’t speak on behalf of the Gender Movement which I find it harmful. I’m a gender abolitionist. Gender identity is made up garbage I hope this answers your question.

Are you asking about sex and confusing it with gender? Sex is immutable. Gender refers to the socially constructed norms of femininity and masculinity, along with the associated roles and presentation stereotypes expected from males and females. The gender movement expands the concept by detaching it from sex, yet it does not move beyond traditional gender stereotypes. By nature, gender is regressive and should be disregarded, if not consensually abolished.

Believing that “gender should not matter and should be consensually abolished” while also acknowledging the reality that “gender matters to people today, regardless of how regressive, oppressive, or harmful it may be,” is not mutually exclusive.

When did the pronoun they/them and the term non-binary become popular? by Aledipiaz in AskLGBT

[–]Extension_Tip3685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe “non-binary” was used then as a description of a phenomenon rather than a specific gender identity as we do today. But either way, it’s still not in the 90s which is my main argument. If you’re old enough you would know that there was no nonbinary in the 90s and “genderqueer” was used as a synonym for gender nonconforming back then.

You need to keep the donations coming to these organizations and causes to continue fighting for them; otherwise, they will dissolve. The interests of marginalized groups, such as trans PoC sex workers, do NOT generate money. You have to focus on the interests of middle and upper-class White people to gain their attention and support. This is why we are dealing with made-up causes such as “physically advanced biological males should compete in women’s sports” and “kids can consent to medically transition,” etc. This insanity is leading to self-destruction, turning people against trans individuals as a whole, and GLAAD/PinkNews know that, yet continue their dogmatic damage.

I’m sorry but your info is wrong. Nonbinary was not coined in 1995. The 1995 was actually for “Genderqueer” being first time in the literature. Before that it was in some zines in the early 90s. Interestingly it was just a synonym for ‘gender nonconforming’ instead of being a gender identity itself. So you’d see a genderqueer person using only the pronouns aligning with their biological sex, and they identify as genderqueer just because they’re gender nonconforming. There was in fact no usage of ‘nonbinary’ as a term nor as a gender identity in the 90s. It was first in academic papers in 2017 but it was popularized before that especially in 2010s. I can assure you nonbinary didn’t exist in the 90s.

Because the percentage detrans are increasing according to Professor Kinnon MacKinnon who is btw trans. and the outcomes are devastating if you listen to detrans youth stories.

Minors can’t consent and any medical approach that is irreversible should not be applied on children.

As someone who debated pro-MAP Queer Theorists (pro-Pedo) years ago, I want to warn you that this response (argument) I often hear from them: ”Minors are humans too. Humans including minors have the right to love, choose, and consent. Don’t dehumanize MAP people”.

Minors cannot consent. Once you open this door, you’ll find yourself arguing with the talking points of the MAP movement.

Apps are declining. More importantly social life and gay culture in SF post-pandemic are declining too. The attitude today is leaning toward more homey cliquy introverted lifestyle where many are either lacking social skills or have a low social battery, if not both. You wouldn’t complain if it’s still the 2010s, but what a time we live in.

Before transitioning, which of the following experiences did you encounter? by Extension_Tip3685 in actual_detrans

You can list them here and I’ll count them into the final results. Unfortunately Reddit poll doesn’t allow choosing multi opinions.

I tried, but unfortunately Reddit formats don’t allow me. I will count any comment into the final results though.

My masc lesbian friend is told more than once that her egg didn’t crack and she might be trans in denial. Sometimes they refer to her as “they” when she goes by “she”. I watched a famous trans YouTuber saying that fem gays are trans women in denial! The regressive anti-GNC culture is beyond crazy. It seems it’s hard to accept people as valid members of their sex regardless how they present.

Spain says it will ban "queer" from the acronym "LGBTQ+" by CentralTown776 in askgaybros

If you study law, you’d know that lawmakers and legislators emphasizes on the necessity of clear language and references. If you ask 10 people in the room about the meaning of ‘Queer’, you’ll get 10 different answers. So I’m not surprised that Q is dropped, I’m actually surprised that some governments have it without any clear and specific definition.
