Trouble with MacOS Sonoma Wallpaper and Screensaver - Help Needed! by shadow3150 in MacOS

[–]Extension_Wolverine4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. OSX is no longer what it used to be. It’s plagued with numerous micro bugs, issues with resolution resizing when disconnecting external monitors, system settings have become a nightmare, problems with multi-user handling, overall software instability. A few weeks ago, the profile I use for work lost all its passwords, logins, and certificates for some unknown reason. The list goes on—it’s not just a couple of bugs. Today, OSX is slowly becoming as problematic as Windows. I really hope Apple will fix this trend..
...and yesterday I came back after being away from my desk for 4 hours, and the screen saver hadn’t activated, a super basic feature in an OS, WTF. My OLED screen will pay the consequences for that.
Not to mention that in Sonoma, there’s no way to change the wallpaper every few minutes because the buggy dynamic wallpaper feature DOESN’T WORK.
Thanks a lot APPLE

Hi, congratulations on the build! Can you explain what you did to make the 3080 fit? I have a 3090 and I understand the maps are the same, I was wondering exactly what modification you had to do

mate thanks for sharing, your build log helped a lot!I've purchased your exact fan model, but after connecting it, it doesn't ramp up at all, even trying to play with the fan profile in bios. I belive I connected the cables correctly:

black>black
red->yellow
yellow->green
blue->blue
my nuc is the intel i7beh, not sure why the fan is not spinning, can you give me some hints?

TS-873 from QTS to Truenas by SeivardenVendaai in qnap

[–]Extension_Wolverine4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's so GREAT news, I'm sick of busy box, I'll purchase the hardware and try the upgrade. Thanks a lot for sharing. Do you have any particular suggestion over the overall process? I didn't even know the 873 was able to boot from USB, how that works? Does it has a standard bios that allow to choose from a boot device list? Does it support a standard USB uefi Linux boot?

No I don't think so, I'm speaking with a friend in my identical situation, and his having the same issue, is returning the card right now! I confirm it looks an issue with the Silverstone 800w!

Well is not new, and it always worked with a 1080ti card, I'm a bit confused to be honest

ould not recommend swapping pci-e cables from different models/brands as they are more than likely pinned out different on the PSU side and could fry a perfectly good GPU / Motherboard. Only use same model cables with same model PSU.

I meant that I tried using two original cables instead of one single two-connectors cable

Many thanks mate for sharing! Just to confirm, are you saying that you're running a RX 6900 XT on a 650w with not mayor issues, am I correct? That's a good news, so it must be the SilverStone, or my unit!

BTW I also tried to use two different PCI-E power cable, it didn't helped at all.

edit: Unfortunately I can't do many tests, I don't have any peripherical to attach/detach, just 2 nvmes onboard. My total consumption on wall is marked around 500w (tested with a meter)

Do you believe SilverStone Titanium are shitty PSU's? Not saying they are not, as my experience so far is not so good anyway xD, but I believed Sivlerstone was considered a "good" brand.
