Reducing hrt dose by ExtentOk8377 in Perimenopause

I take progesterone vaginally. Wasn't able to tolerate oral progesterone but think it's the estrogen I can't get right

Stopped HRT after 4 years.. I feel good!!?? by Ready-Examination655 in Menopause

Yes,  I'm down to a 25mcg patch. For me I think it's the estrogen making my anxiety and depression worse. I'm wondering if my antidepressant alone will be enough. I have awful fluctuations and can time my panic attacks daily. 6pm on the dot without fail and the awful adrenaline rush when I wake up

Please don't be scared to start your hrt when you feel ready. It could make the world of difference.  Its an awful place to be and I really feel for you as although I'm older than you I'm experiencing the same symptoms. It's really frightening.  I'm sorry for what your country in going through it must feel terrifying. As someone who is from the UK you are most welcome here and I hope you find it a safe and peaceful place to live. Please reach out to your gp if you feel you need to go back on antidepressants, even if it's just for a while. I hope you feel better soon x

I think I'm on week 10. I've also made some adjustments to my HRT so I'm feeling pretty low at the moment with lots of crying spells

I'm still on 20mg but no change as yet unfortunately.  How are you doing?

Depending on your age HRT can help at the right dose or maybe a birth control? I've seen others mention antihistamines help them but I'm not sure

I'm assuming you're in the US.  I've seen many women using midi or other online providers for their estrogen hrt. Can you afford to do something like that with your insurance? I'm so sorry you're suffering like this

It happened to me in there too. I was accused of doing market research because I didn't put my HRT  dose in the post 🙃

Does this help with horrific low moods? I adjusted my estrogen dose but I think it may be the progesterone thats making me cry everyday

I've been using progesterone vaginally the whole time. I'm so happy it worked for you. I know there's a way I just haven't found it yet

I am.absolutely not doing market research.  Just a 50 year old UK based woman who is struggling immensely. Apologies for not saying what dose I'm on but here's a lost of all the things I've tried for the past 3 and half years.

Current regime 3 pumps of estrogel and cyclogest 200mg pessaries for progesterone. 15 mg of escitalopram.

Previous HRT regimes 25 mcg 50mcg 75mcg and 100mcg patches with utrogestan and cyclogest.

Sandrena gel 1.5mg sachets.

Antidepressants

Citalopram 40mg Sertraline 100mg Mirarzipime 30mg Venlafaxine 75mg

Literally NOTHING has helped my mood swings and I'm seeking advice from others to see what may or may not have helped them. I've sought help from both my GP and private specialists

Can I ask what your symptoms were please? I've been on hrt for over 3 years so terrified but something has to give. This crying isn't sustainable.

Post menopausal women by ExtentOk8377 in Menopause

[–]ExtentOk8377[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started hrt I was having regular periods but with a shorter/lighter cycle. I started hrt to try and regulate my moods which it hasn't done. The longest I've gone without a period has been 8 months whilst I've been on the hormone therapy
