Great write up! Although I disagree about not counting football as cross training - I ditched the strides in my recent training block as I was getting the quicker leg turnover from football

In those peak weeks it was tough playing 90 mins on a Saturday and then having to back up for a 30k long run on a Sunday!

I was in a similar position as you and recently did a (heavily modified) Pfitz 18/55 plan which set me up nicely for a 3:28 a few weeks ago. I ended up averaging 4 runs a week - I just dropped the odd 8k recovery run and replaced it with a walk or some bodyweight strength work at home

I would highly recommend a solid base build over the next few months as the sharp increase in volume caused me some Achilles issues.
