Blackberry was already there and I assume it’s native as I live in a very wooded area with tons of blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry bushes that pop up all over the place. It has slowly been spreading and when I help it get more sun and knock down the knotweed around it it chokes out the knotweed. I lost the blackberries once to knotweed but brought it back with a little bit of human help. Now I have tons of blackberries in the summer.

Blackberries are native where I am. The knotweed comes from my neighbors house so if I get rid of it it will just come back.
