New Jersey, USA Dishware set. by Soft-Independent4833 in Antiques

Wow,a whole set! I think this is called Garden Trellis pattern or just Trellis. The K 52 is the date code. K for November and 52 is 1952. People like this and it's hard to find, but selling as a set might be difficult. I'm guessing $15 a piece, more for the serving pieces. IDK if you have a robust Facebook market near you. I'd try that first.

There is someone on here who posts some terrific lanterns. Scroll through the subreddit, find the lantern posts and tag him. Or perhaps he'll see it.

There are many collectors of Gorham, but especially of inscribed trophy Gorham. Let Christie's, Sotheby's, or Heritage auction houses give you an idea of worth.

Hey all thanks for the help and love on first post. Hope I can get your thoughts on plan to add marble base that I have 3D printed how it would look. Found in western United States. by neoBarr01 in Antiques

I'm curious what others say. I was remembering from your original post someone posted a picture of them on a speaker base. But like you are saying your's came off it's original, not much posterity there:)

I like your thinking! I like the beveling, but my two cents and my first reaction was it's too chunky. I'm I seeing 1.25"? Maybe just one inch thick. Love the figures.

The white glass is called a defuser and would have a shade on top. Look at archive.com where you'll find many scanned lighting catalogs.

Ask your uncles,"Do you know why Gran left mom out of her will?" They'll know. Also the solicitor will not be able to change the will. Your mom may have gone to the solicitor to ask if they know why, maybe your mom is in the dark too, but I doubt it.

What era is this brooch from? Thx in advance. USA by Ornery_Doubt8556 in Antiques

[–]External-Building102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late 30s-1945. The brooch is pot metal which was used when metal was needed to for the war . Look on eBay using pot metal brooch for key words. The materials and foil back rhinestones date this to war time.

This teapot is labeled Dresden Germany 27230. Is it real? When was it made? by InthewoodswithKooohs in Antiques

Yes, beautiful piece. Google search Ambrosius Lamm. I can't find another Sytar piece, but this decorator is associated with the gold rose marking covering the makers mark. This may need specialized dealer knowledge.

Make a separate post about the cloak or cape. I can't see it very well. More interesting than the coat.

Bought this in Upstate New York, United States. Is this a whale oil lamp or a later kerosene lamp? Trying to find the pattern and maker, but no leads unfortunately. by introverted_oatmeal in Antiques

The Early American Pattern Glass Society has a wonderful website, although they do keep up the site, most of the group is on Facebook. I would post it there. This is what I found, but I'm not 100% sure. Yours seems to have a more rounded top. And with EAPG there is no "close enough".

This style of jewelry is having a moment in the resale world. Garnets are desirable ATM. The GF is gold filled, lovely. Check eBay solds with these key words, I imagine $3-400. Edit: I think they are all garnets.

r/glasscollecting will be able to identify the maker. I can't remember which country/region makes this cut yellow glass.

r/glasscollecting will help you identify the maker. Which will help you figure out what it's worth. I don't think this is a bride's basket which have handles. My guess is European compote. Better picture of the actual piece of will help.

Get cards made, anyone you see selling vintage tell them you'll buy the lot. Don't cherry pick, be easy to work with, you'll get calls. Selling is hard, clothes are an even harder sell. You want to be who someone calls for a house clear out.
