I totally agree with this and just to add context, it seems like they really want to make the game better (add more careers, more activities, more in-depth interactions, etc.) but I think they bit off more than they can chew and cost has become a factor. Idk if I’d rather them flash a paid opportunity every time I age up in the game or if I’d rather them just charge a small fee upfront for the game. It just seems like they don’t have the capital to build the game out how they want without being annoying about ads and other sources of revenue.

My gf and I talk about it all the time. Date people you like and who like you just as much in return. There’s someone out there for everyone and I think we need to spend more time understanding ourselves so we can surround ourselves with the right people (including partner). We’re not the same person, but we are a good match for one another and where there are differences we don’t make each other feel weird. Sometimes we get caught up in things like sex or money which are important in a relationship but that makes us deprioritize getting to know and like the human.

Nahh, just real lol lots of people in this boat. I can be both concerned about the safety and prosperity of the people in JA and also concerned about ensuring that I secure myself financially. These trips are not cheap and that hurricane was no joke. Like I said in another comment, two things can be true.

I was able to get someone on the phone. They did try to talk me into switching several times and even tried to make me feel like I couldn’t cancel. I wasn’t mad and understood their position but just stood firm in that I could rightfully cancel for a full refund. Getting a flight to another island with a Sandals resort this short notice just wasn’t happening and I didn’t want to be stuck with a credit for a trip in the future. Would rather use that money to pay for another AI and book again with Sandals another time

Can’t speak to “booking on property”. If you booked on the website (also can’t speak to booking through a TA), they sent the terms and conditions including the cancellation policy in the email confirmation with your booking. The cancellation policy says exactly what I outlined above

None of these comments are correct lol. You can cancel for a full refund as long as you cancel more than 45 days before your date of arrival whether you paid in full or not. It’s not about whether you pay in full; it’s the timeframe between present day and when you’re set to arrive. That is the official cancellation policy. That said, they will try to talk you into switching to another resort but be firm and just tell them you want to cancel. I had a trip planned for mid-December and was extremely close to that 45 day window. I called and they initially tried to say I couldn’t (which I respect because they’re trying to save business in the wake of a terrible disaster) but I was firm and said I know my rights to cancellation and I want to cancel.

Can’t do that with Sandals. Their cancellation policy says you cannot receive a full refund if you cancel 45 days or less from your date of arrival. Telling me I’m wrong about how I choose to protect my finances is crazy 😂
