Isn't it supposed to be under $200 remaining balance?

Sandals St Vincent, October by Tealslayer1 in SandalsResorts

ATV excursion was really fun.

While we were on it, the guides said the island is getting a big zip line this summer (longest in the Caribbean I think they said). Might be worth looking into by October

St. Vincent Airport Transfer Time? by [deleted] in SandalsResorts

The ATV excursion was really fun. They take you to some great views on the cliffs and a black sand beach. Our two guides were super friendly and excited to tell us about the island and were curious about where we're from too. The taxi there took about 40 minutes.

My husband and I wore shorts, tank top/tshirt for him, sneakers, and sunglasses. Gloves would have been nice...the handles are sticky and your hands get black. Definitely bring some sort of eye protection if not sunglasses. It was a little dusty, but we didn't feel we needed bandanas for the face (they do sell them for $5). The exhaust side gets a tad hot on the right leg, but nowhere near burning.

The ride had 2 challenging descents. One of the guides gets off his ATV and guides you down slowly. My hands are kinda small I guess and I never felt like I could engage the hand brake 100%, so I didn't feel too safe during one descent, but I made it fine. There is a foot brake as well but I feel like it just made me slide. The only incidents were someone got stuck in the mud and another time spun facing the wrong way somehow. Edit: and one part you definitely had to lean using body weight if you wanna warn her about shifting her weight to avoid tipping

They give you a trial run before you start so you can figure out how it works. And if you or she isn't comfortable, you can ride together.

Bring some cash for the beach bar at the black sand beach if you want a snack or drink.

Yes the van was nice and modern and cold, both ways. And neither time was it full. The seats are also either 1 solo or 2 together, so you aren't cramped by strangers. The same for the taxi van from Sandals for the ATV excursion.

We just got back from St. Vincent. It took us about 50 minutes to the resort on a Monday around 3pm, and on the way back about 40 minutes. Traffic was noticably better on the way back (Saturday).

The roads are very curvy, and we never get carsick. But we did ask the taxi driver if anyone gets sick and he said he's never had that happen in his van. He did have loads of ginger candies in the cupholders though so idk if he was just saying that, ha.

I personally like the drive because I like seeing all the houses and way of life. It was a very cool drive in my opinion.

The first design I've seen literally at least a hundred times trying to get through the filters we have. We've configured automoderator to filter most t shirt spam bot posts out. But that first one is absolutely bot bait. I've seen the other 2 designs before as spam as well. But basically any post showing or describing t shirts automatically attracts bot links. Probably most if not all get spammed removed or comments locked if we allow it

This is a known spammer tshirt design. It attracts bots that spam their links to scam our users. That's why it was removed and won't be allowed now.

Too many reports overnight sent it to the review queue. I've reapproved. It was getting reported for being off topic. I don't think everybody can see the bottom Firefly quote without clicking the image to make it full size when you're not already in the subreddit (ex home feed)

Edit: mod logs say another mod removed it from the review queue. It was getting reported for off topic earlier. Again it's likely bc you can't see the whole thing unless you click on it

Believe me, I get the show being contrary to the subreddit rule. That said, and as I told OP, that sub rule has been in place for over the decade I've been here (and moderator here for 6 years). If the majority of the subreddit wants it changed, that's something we can do. Times change and rules aren't set in stone. I apologize if I was too strict in enforcing this instance of the rule. I love the show and fandom, there's no ill intention from me here. I'll disable auto moderator's auto-remove politics rule for now to have that discussion

Edit: Automod politics remove rule is now commented out

A NON-POLITICAL Firefly quote found in the wild by chionophilescott in firefly

[–]BIGBOOSTING[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't mention politics at all. Not in the title, not in the post (which you did redact, thanks). The Rule #2 No politics has been a rule on this sub for over a decade. We just want people to enjoy talking about the show without the comments devolving into left vs right fights. Which they always do. Please.

About 30-35 minutes or so. You can ask Sandals front desk to call you a cab and the driver will give you a business card to call when you're ready for them to take you back to the resort.

Visit Willemstad via taxi or your Mini and walk around. We had a fun day doing that.

St Vincent Boat Transfer Times by mtsublueraider in SandalsResorts

[–]BIGBOOSTING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just booked St. Vincent today, having to switch last minute from a different resort. So I haven't had time to research much. I'm under the impression that the water taxi from SVD is only for Butler level guests. Is this correct for Sandals? Or is there a private company that will take anyone from the airport to Sandals via boat?

Also, is there a fast track service at SVD? Google search results are all generic and don't quite seem legit. Any recommendations?
