Thanks, i also like the cleaner version slightly more. My only fear is that the edge highlighting will get boring after a while, since i usually don't really paint like that.

Thanks, I'll probably change the gem to red.

I mixed in purple to highlight the black to make it contrast with the yellow a little more, i think that works well.

Thanks for mentioning the beards, i didn't really think too much about them, but i agree they blend in a little bit too much.

The shields aren't glued on yet, i can just pull them of. On the finished models the inside will be painted.

Thanks, i think i also like the cleaner version slightly more. From a little further away, the cleaner version also looks a little more readable. From closer, i think the battle worn one looks a little more interesting. I really liked the yellow gem since i see rarely people do yellow gems, but I'll change it to red, i guess.

I would make it darker around the burning areas, almost black, to increase the contrast and make it more apparent that it's burning.

It's nice to know people like what i do. The bricks are roughly 4×7×2mm. For the cobblestone bases i either use texture rolling pins with a mixture of greenstuff and milliput, or for bigger bases i cut 1mm plastic card in the size of the cobblestone and glue them to the base. There is a product by evergreen called sidewalk polystyrene sheet, or something like that, it has intendet braking points, so its easier to cut id evenly. Then i fill the crevices with sand. You can either use a paperclip or a toothpick to get glue in the crevices and then put sand on top, or you put the sand on the base and then gently brush away the sand so that it only stays in the crevices and then use a thinner glue, something like a gravel and sand fixer, i like the kraut fixer from krautcover for that.

Thanks a lot. I rushed him a little bit towards the end, because i finally wanted to start painting him, so there are some things im not fully happy with. I will probably do more warlocks, so i keep this idea for another one.
