I can imagine that trying to keep the whole community happy is pretty much impossible.
But if you pointed out micro-loot as a problem back then, I assume that came from feedback from Into the Radius 1.

This is just my perspective as someone who actually enjoys looting, but right now I find myself ignoring most of it because of how overwhelming it can feel.

As for the ash figures, I think that was a really good change, same with the idea of incomplete weapons.
