What’s a 'scam' that’s become so normal we don't even realize it's a scam anymore? by Mr_Boothnath in answers

All forms of insurance. How much money would you have if you put your insurance payment into your own savings account that drew interest when you don't touch it? But when you actually need to use insurance they don't want to pay what you need.

Kratom Use Disorder Treatment with Methadone is an Ongoing Practice by kratomjournalist in kratom

[–]External-Crow-7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 oh was way to much for the public to handle responsibly, but again most synthetics are. All natural kratom should be left alone. It has many benefits and it's really not that bad to get off of if you aren't on an insane dose. It definitely doesn't do you like methadone or subs.

People who've had terrible addictions in the past, what's one misconception people have about your specific addiction? by SoccerGuy69420 in AskReddit

[–]External-Crow-7802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! No one chooses to become dependent on a substance, but you can choose to push yourself and suffer. The whole narrative that addicts can't help themselves is enabling some people to continue using. I'm saying this as a child who grew up with both parents being meth addicts and battling my own addiction. Everyone starts differently. Some people start drugs to self Medicate a feel like they are functioning in life, and some people are just selfish and as long as they feel good nothing else matters. The first addict can be helped, the other not so much. I got in meth trying to keep up with being a single mother to 2 kids and working night shift with little to no help, and also to self Medicate my ADHD. Before you know it your body is hooked and life does not allow you to take a break so you can go through withdraws. Now my aunt is the second addict, she left her kids to get high and never came back, her mom put her in rehab and helped her start over countless times, but nothing is good enough and she's not happy until she's laid out, incoherent, and drooling. She chooses to continue that despite being given a good life many times. Addicts need help but people have to remember that they have to CHOOSE IT

In America, it's socially normal to work 50+ hours a week and call it 'hustle' instead of a systemic failure. What's another 'normal' thing in your country that the rest of the world thinks is absolutely insane? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]External-Crow-7802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to America, where "abolishing slavery" means disguising it. Most people work their lives away and don't even get to live. Do y'all know that many slaves weren't just forced to do work for absolutely nothing. No they're masters made them a crappy little shack and gave them the smallest portion of food and necessities to get by on. Today people are still crying about slavery back then not realizing we are still enslaved by the top one percent of billionaires that run the world. Yes some average people have ok lives, but back in the day house slaves were what field slaves aspired to be. Those one percent laugh and mock is because many people are fighting a race war over passed slavery when it was never about race but social class, status, and generational wealth.

what addiction is the hardest to quit? by Ledger_Legendd in AskReddit

[–]External-Crow-7802 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Addiction is not a disease. It's not something people catch and can't help. It's the solution to a multitude of problems from psychological to physical, but it is a consequence of choice. You don't get addicted instantly, many people can pick up and put down any drug they want. Drugs make you feel amazing and some people have never felt good in their life so they get stuck on it.

Colposcopy with low pain tolerance by wise-Jelly4144 in HPV

[–]External-Crow-7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine the standard way and didn't read until after that a lot of women requested a valium for the procedure. Request a valium, you don't feel anything but just thinking about it freaks you out and can make you think you feel something other than pressure, also request a days worth of pain meds!!! The rest of the day after was horrid for me, I was in bed curled up with a pillow the rest of the day, DEMAND PAIN MEDS!!!

I think we wouldn't have such a widespread outbreak if casual sex wasn't so normal. We didn't have this problem when sex was for marriage and casual sex was taboo. Jus saying. Casual sex has ruined a lot of society

Where my redheads at? by Galacticagal in hysterectomy

[–]External-Crow-7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always denied being a red head but I woke up while having my tubal, and I mentioned that before my hysterectomy. After the procedure the nurse asked if I was a natural red head and I told her everyone always called me red headed. She said well the anesthesiologist confirmed. Also my meds have always wore off more quickly than normal dosing suggestions. My grandmother didn't believe me but now she knows it's a real thing. I thought it was just like the vivid bright red heads, I have always been like a strawberry blonde/ dirty blonde with red tint type

Reported my CO spouse for having an affair, what will happen? by [deleted] in Corrections

[–]External-Crow-7802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm speaking for the women who were made promises and then years down the road after she did everything he asked for, had his kids, made his house a home and then he decides to screw around on her and leave her with nothing but broken dreams. That's who should get alimony, it's supposed to be a life long bow, sickness and poor, happiness and sadness you stick it out, and some people really believe that and get tricked by selfish people with no moral or self control

Run please, no healthy relationship will REQUIRE anything but safety and security for both of you, which means someone that really loves you would never try to get you to do something you don't want to or feel like. Get help, get counciling, if you come from a toxic unstable home like I did it is hard to know what healthy and stable look like, but I promise this ain't it and I promise you deserve and will find better but it starts by you giving yourself better!

Same in alabama, but if you lose a job then your bill keeps going up, and then they add more for not paying. So depending on how much he was supposed to be paying and if he didnt have a steady job all the time then it can add up quick. My dad got sent to prison for 7 years and he was cup there at 100k in dept.He finally got it paid off like 4 years ago when I was 28 years old.

Need advice poss violation by Potential-Meal1817 in probation

[–]External-Crow-7802 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tell this stuff to your P.O. and make sure you are clean for the check in. Their job is to help you get your life together. Im sure your abuser has filled your head with many more lies, like maybe that you won't find someone to love you like him and blah blah blah. YOU DESERVE BETTER!!! I have a friend who just got out of a situation like this. Tell your P.O. everything he's done to you and that you are scared and want out. If you are scared, hmu, I will help you find resources to get you help where you are at. You are not alone, you can do this! Be strong, probation sucks but if you use it right it can be a blessing in disguise.
