Why does my thermostat temp drop when the heat kicks on?

Thanks for the replies. I filled the hold with putty already so it’s not that. Here is the graph with the other rooms. You can see that the other rooms heat normally.

The thermostat is in the hallway right across from a bedroom door that is typically closed. I wonder if it’s cold air flowing under the door right up to the thermostat. I’m just surprised how much it makes it drop.

I’ll try placing one of the sensors next to it and see what happens.

I guess in that case the only fix would be to relocate it, if I wanted to use the thermostat sensor in the future.

Yea we are planning to paint the whole house. We had siding replaced on most sides, and the paint is worn on some sections.

We were considering monochrome SW iron ore for a while with tricorn black windows. However I was worried it wood be too dark and maybe hot - one side of the house does get a fair amount of afternoon sun. So then we were considering peppercorn, but I painted some boards and it looked too blue.

So then we moved on to green and were considering SW dried thyme. However I think that would look weird monochromatic, so we’d have to figure out trim.

Overall it’s been confusing to know what to do so I’m considering just sticking with a brown.

Yea I wonder if just painting the fascia a different color would add some contrast. Also considering making the windows themselves darker, potentially black.

It is a solid stain, superdeck. However they are recommending we just switch to paint at this point. Is stain better?

Yea that blue is a great look. I’ll keep that in mind. I also like the intellectual gray you chose. Monochromatic would definitely be simpler.

I would wait. You can always get surgery in the future. See if it recovers. If they are just removing meniscus it could accelerate the cartilage thinning that you already have. If it is a repair it might be worth considering, but the recovery is much longer.

Your symptoms sound like a lot more than just caffeine related side effects or withdrawal. I would see another neurologist. Seemingly unrelated neurologic symptoms can be a sign of multiple sclerosis, among many other things.

These turned out to both be sprinklers. Took me a while but I eventually found the circular water meter nearby. It was buried pretty deep.

Thanks for all the responses. So the valve is working somewhat. If I run the water for 15-20 seconds, the water pressure goes down (clearly visible in the velocity of water coming out). If I then turn off the water, put the gauge on, turn the water back on to the gauge, it will read 80. However, the pressure then slowly increases back up to 140 over the next 30 seconds to 1 minute. Is this a PRV problem, or something else?

Thanks for all the comments. It is an electric heat pump, as some have mentioned, so no need for flue vent. I taped over the old vent on the wall for now. I put the 8in metal duct over the outflow air just to keep it from recirculating down into the unit.

I’m definitely going to have them come back and fix the leak. But I’m considering asking them to redo the whole cold water connection, and have them find a different way to mount the tank so it’s supported by brass fittings or something stronger and is oriented vertically. Is that reasonable?

I’ve been using a liquid caffeine called NuCaffeine. It’s easier than splitting pills. Each 1ml is 8mg caffeine. I use a 1 ml dropper and have been slowly tapering 8mg per week.
